Lida takes a drink of water, relishing every drop. She has woken up late, and she does not care: the boss will think she is sick again, and Lida will still get paid. She snuggles up under the duvet and smiles: today is a good day. She won the lottery yesterday too! Lida doesn't know what to spend it on, but her clever husband will- he'll probably book a lovely spa retreat, won't he, just the two of them...

Lida has not taken a drink of water. There is no water anymore. She has taken a rehydrator pill. They are black and faintly seaweed scented, but they are what she needs to survive. She does not have a bed. She has a 'Float-A-Sleep', a device that uses magnets to levitate you into the perfect position.
