Chapter 2- A blast from the past

The room went silent for a moment. You thought everyone would be able to hear your heart it was beating that fast and your hands were gripping the chair so much they started to hurt.

"So, for the first question: Are you conscious when you use your quirk to its fullest extent?".

"Erm.."you hesitated. " Well, I'm not too sure...".

"Can you elaborate please?" The Principle took another sip from his tea.

"I have never really used my quirk to its fullest, so I don't know. I take it you have read about the incident in my file then?". You bowed your head slightly in shame.

All Might heard the sadness in your voice, "Principle Nezu did tell me what was in your file, but it's in hopes we can help you.... I am here to help you". 

You looked up at All Might and he had his trademark grin spread across his face, you couldn't help but smile back at him, smiles are truly contagious after all! 

"Thank you All Might, that's very kind of you". You drank the remainder of your tea and let out a huge sigh. 

"Well as I'm sure you're aware, 5 years ago a nuclear explosion took place in southern Tokyo. Fortunately it happened in one of the abandoned districts".

"Yes, indeed" Nezu nodded

 "It made big news"

"Well the explosion was created by me. The only thing I can remember from that day... was that I was running. I was running from something but I have no recollection of what it was and the next thing I know ...is well......Boom." You gestured a explosion with your hands.

"Hmm so it sounds like you were conscious up until the point of the explosion". The Principle scratched behind his ear.

"You were found a few hours after the incident when authorities had deemed it was safe to investigate. There were no remnants of any radiation whatsoever". 

The Principle left his chair and walked over to the window gazing outside. "What they did discover however, whilst there was destruction, certain people in the area where cured of their afflictions. A gentleman that had his leg amputated from a wound he received previously described that when the explosion went off, a searing hot wave rushed through his very core. He then sensed pain in his leg. Somehow that explosion allowed that man to regrow a lost limb!" 

"Truly remarkable" The Principle chuckled to himself.

"They took you to the nearest hospital and didn't find a scratch on you but you were unconscious for 2 weeks straight". The mammalian turned and faced towards you. 

"Do you find you're always tired after using your quirk (y/n)?".

"Yes actually, I do have to rest lot in order to use it."

"And that time 5 years ago, you said that you didn't use your full power?".

"That's correct." You nodded back at him.

All Might was glaring at you, when he realised what he was doing he sat up straight and crossed his arms.

"Ahem, If I may ask (y/n) are you scared to use your power?". 

All Mights words rang true, ever since the incident this plagued you.

"Yes..I am".

"Well I don't think you have anything to worry about with such an extraordinary gift (y/n)." He gave you a thumbs up.

"I will do my best to help. You will be able to use your quirk without any trouble soon, I promise".

Everyone knew All Might was a very likeable character, but what he said warmed your heart so much it wanted to burst. It made you feel ecstatic knowing he wanted to help you so much.
