Chapter 6- Always smile

At first there was only darkness. Eventually feint sounds could be heard in the distance.

"You worry me All Might! You shouldn't have pushed her this much" a female voice warned.

"I'm sorry recovery girl. I didn't think I had".

"How many times did I used to have to tell you not to over do it! It's not fair on your students" she scolded him.

All Might remained silent.

*sigh* "I've done all I can for her now. She is in a steady condition and should wake soon. Just be more careful in the future, I will be right back".

The conversation ceased and Recovery left the room, you heard the click of the door shut behind her.

You started opening your eyes blinking a few times, straining as the bright light of the medical room penetrated them. All Might stood by the window, gazing outside it solemnly.

You cast your mind back to what happened before you ended up here.

OH. That....

Your body didn't react in the same panicked way as before, it simply couldn't as it felt like your adrenal's had run dry.

You began to sit up slowly on the medical bed, the noise alerting the No. 1 hero.

"Oh, I'm glad to see you awake (y/n). How're you feeling?"

"If I'm honest not too great, I feel like I've been hit by a train. Still I'm better than I was, thanks for asking. So much for being incognito too huh".

He stared at you for a moment, your face was still as pale as milk, the only colour showing was that of your eyes.

"I'm sorry about this. I must have pushed you too hard".

You didn't realise the giant super hero could take on the traits of a sad puppy.

"No, don't worry about me! Honestly I'll be OK." You assured him.

"I am worried about you though and I'll certainly be more mindful. More breaks between training if you're okay with that? I'll take things slower with you".

Wow he really feels responsible....wait did he just say he would take things slower with me? 

You took that out of context-slightly.

"Of course!" you sputtered 

"I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far and I won't complain about incorporating more breaks into the schedule".

He smiled back at you.

"Good. I'm glad to hear! Recovery girl should be back any moment and when she discharges you I'll take you back home".

The thought of being in his arms again had aroused the dormant butterflies in your stomach, they started somersaulting in delight.

A moment later Recovery girl came returned, she smiled softly at you when she noticed you were awake.

"How're you feeling now my dear?"

"Still not great but better than I was thank you".

She nodded and inspected you closely.

"The colour still hasn't come back to you yet. I will discharge you but you will need to rest for the remainder of the day"

"Understood".

She sent you and All Might on your way.

"Remember dear! Plenty of rest" she shouted after you.

Your legs felt like lead weights dragging underneath you.
