"Ash?" Miette recognizes his glove and the sound of voice. "What are you doing here?"

Serena, seeing that Miette's attacks have been stopped, she slowly slid down to the floor out of exhaustion.

The raven haired brought Miette's hand back to her side and let go. He walked in front of her as he ran his hand through his hair in frustration.

He sighed. "How many times am I gonna catch you doing this?"

"U-Umm what are you talking about? T-This is the first time you caught me doing this," Miette nervously waved her hands in front of her. Ash, however, narrowed his eyes at her in disbelief which led to Miette bawling her eyes out.

"Aah! I'm sorry Ash!" She dramatically wailed and clung onto his jacket. "Please don't hate me!"

"Wait. Don't apologize to me," he looked over to Serena who awkwardly watched their conversation.

Miette looked over to Serena and said to her flatly, "Sorry."

"What a heartless apology!" Serena thought. "She's saying it like she doesn't even care!"

The honey-blonde then shook her thoughts away and nodded to Miette's apology as she bit her lip.

Miette still clunged onto Ash's jacket, not wanting to let go, as the raven haired patted her head. "See, it's not that hard was it?"

Serena sat in the same spot, not knowing what to do. Before she decided her debate to leave or not, she saw Ash taking out a few sheets of paper with writings on it, gave it to Miette, and after exchanging a few words, Miette started to leave the hallway. Before she left she took a quick glance at Serena as she faced towards the door. As Serena was unaware of her sneaky glance, Miette's eyes became glassy and walked out.

"Sorry about that," Ash caught Serena's attention, seeing that he's now talking to her.

"Don't worry. It happens many times," Serena voice came out dull and emotionless, like it did to many other people. She saw the confused expression on his face, furrowed his eyebrows making it look like there was something going on in his mind. Serena then looked away from him and waited to be alone once more as she continued to sit on the floor... However...

Ash kneeled down in front of her and extended his hand out.

"Hey, it looks like we still got some time left in school. So, do you want to check out that old music room?"

"Annnnnnd where are we going?!" The blue-haired girl yelled at the brunette with her arms angrily crossed.

"Geez, be patient!" Gary replied. They were in the area behind the school, walking to some unknown destination.

"Patient?!" Dawn questioned harshly. "How can I be patient if I don't even know where we're going?! It's like we're walking in circles!"

Gary groaned, annoyed by her complaints. This is not what he's used to. "We're only behind the school, not somewhere strange. And why did you agree to help me find Ash earlier?"

"Because I got bored and I'm still waiting for Serena to get out of school," she sighed wearly.

"Right," he stopped and look around at his surroundings.

"And what are you looking for?"

Gary ignored her question and looked at his watch.

4:03pm.

"Where is that idiot?" He pondered in his head.

Dawn groaned. "Okay, I can't stand this anymore. I'm going to go and find Sere in the school building."

"Hang on, I'll come too!" Gary called out to her.

"Awww, come on! Just when I was gonna have some alone time with myself," Dawn grunted as they started walking to the opened school doors.

"Well, it's better to have somebody at your side than being alone for your entire life," he smirked his way into the school.

The bluenette bit her lip with her arms crossed, not countering his point.

Serena's POV

I looked at the open hand that's being offered to me and then the expression on the boy's face. His lips broke into a grin and the look on his face seemed to be giving out an aura of confidence and joy. That... Brought me a sense of comfort for a moment.

"So, what do you say?" Ash waiting for me to answer.

I slowly lifted my hand toward his, but hesitation hit me. I stopped moving my hand and my head faced downwards.

You're an idiot, Serena... I thought to myself. There's no way he'll-

Suddenly, I felt a hand grabbed onto mine. My eyes widened and looked up to see Ash has taken her hand with a warm smile.

Then out of nowhere, Ash grabbed my hand and started running down the hallway.

"Ahh!" I squealed, holding my hat with my free hand. After matching my pace with his, I questioned,"What's the rush?"

Ash grinned, "We don't want to waste time, don't we? Time is precious. And it flies over us, but leaves its shadows behind. It's best if we make the good of it before we have any regrets!"

Lub-dub. A heartbeat... A fuzzy, nostagic feeling came upon my chest. The words he just said and how Ash spoke it to me was all too familiar. Just then, I started to see some faded colors that weren't black, white, or grey before glitching back to their dull colors.

"How?" I wondered.

Then that's when it came back to me.

A memory flashed into my mind. Me as a kid wearing a straw hat, smiling with a boy who's holding a blue guitar pick.

"Don't give up till the very end! Remember that!"

A/N Hey guys! I want to get this book moving cause it's not even halfway done.😂 Soooo I decided to pick up the pace a little bit starting in the next chapter😂😂

One reminder, the characters in this book could be OOC and this story doesn't match the anime story(of course!😂).
