Security outside and within the facility wasn't as high as they thought it would've been, so they snuck in and made their way around almost too easily.
Ruby silently followed a couple of magitek troops, stalking them through the vents. They soon split up, and she followed one into the control room. It stood there for a few minutes, which was long enough for Ruby to grow impatient. A map of the entire facility was laid out on a desk beside the computers, and one section in particular stood out.
The MT soon left to resume its patrol, and then she made her escape. Ruby dropped down from the vent, landing softly on her feet. Technology was no stranger to the young spy. With a clip of a few wires, the cameras within the facility had been shut off. She folded up the map, and then grappled back up into the vent once she heard the approaching footsteps of another MT.
Like the last one, it stood in the middle of the room, but Ruby's eyes were focused on the map. She'd been studying the path she wanted to take, to ensure she wouldn't get lost or run into an area covered by her teammates. With a smirk, she folded the map and continued traveling through the vents.

Jasper snuck into one room, successfully avoiding a couple of Magitek troops. There was armor all over the place. Some appeared to be put together, yet incomplete as they were missing limbs. It's like a room of dead bodies. Creepy, but kinda cool cause they're robots. He took a deep breath and then began to search the room. Most of the facility was comfortably warm, compared to the cold night breeze outside. He picked up a folder that stood out in a file cabinet, when he heard two MT's approaching. Summoning his bladed boomerang, he hid on the side of the room.
The MT's entered and then stood in place. When they turned to leave, Jasper stepped out and threw his boomerang. They immediately noticed him, but soon had their heads knocked off by the boomerang. Jasper caught it, and then proceeded to look through the folder.

Cor walked with his katana, ready to strike down any MT's who crossed his path. He heard a faint beep on his headset, and then lightly pressed his fingers against it.
"What'd you find?" He asked in a low tone.
"Armor." Jasper answered, mirroring his tone. "The Magitek have lightproof armor. That's how the Nifs get these damn daemonic robots to roam around during the day."
"Hold on to that, and see what else you can find." Cor instructed.
"You got it, boss."
"Team two, what's your status?" Cor asked.

Artemis and Amethyst snuck out of an elevator and made their way outside, following a path to another section of the facility. Amethyst glanced through photographs as they walked.
"We found photos of humans. Many of them were transitioning into daemons, and appear to be dead. It's like a photo diary for quite a few of them; monitoring their progress once they've been infected. It seems forced; like an injection." Amethyst explained.
"We found other files too." Artemis continued. "Besithia has been using these humans to create the Magitek troops."
"No surprise there. The man's a lunatic." Cor said.

Ruby crawled quietly through the vents, and stopped above a room illuminated in blue. She opened the vent, hung down to scan the room, and then dropped; landing softly on her feet. Her face lit up as she approached one of many incubators that harbored identical baby boys, about a year old. Looking around at all of the others, she noticed that every baby had a barcode tattooed on their wrist; each with a different number. Ruby turned her attention back to the one in front of her. The longer she looked at him, the warmer and more blissful her heart felt.
"Ruby, what's your status?" She heard Cor ask through her headset. When she didn't respond, he spoke again about a minute later. "Ruby. Your status."
Gazing at the infant, she slowly reached up to her headset as Cor continued to speak, "Come in, Ru-" ...and shut it off.

Ruby removed her hairpin, and after pulling all of her hair back, placed the clip back in. She brushed her fingers gently over the glass, and then began to search the room for a way to drain the liquid from within. Finding the controls, it didn't take her long to figure it out, but she was hesitant. I don't want to kill him. There was no doubt in her mind in regards to leaving with the infant.
Her eyes became glossy. After hearing what Amethyst and Artie had discovered, Ruby began to understand what was going on, and it broke her heart. I can't save them all...Not right now. She wiped her eyes, and then pressed a red button labeled with the same number as on the incubator. Watching the liquid drain, she rushed back to the machine. Barely touching the glass, she waited for the liquid to fully drain.
