In the spaces between the stars
In the darkness that knows no depths
I look out at the sun
Wondering during the day
Asking myself where you could be
And the only answer I have
Is that
I only exist to you at night
When the monsters go to sleep
And the quietness that separates everything
Is broken apart by our words
Bouncing and stinging
No one to judge us
Or to ask how it is
Our own opinions run free
In the forgotten land
I am held to no standard
Besides what the darkness holds on me
Which is nothing
As she does not judge
I wish you loved me in the day
But I can understand
That you may be afraid of our flaws
Peaking out into the open
Be even so
