"Come on Abigail, one date, please?" Bucky followed her down the hallway, Steve trailing behind. "Are you listening to me plead to you? Abi, come on!"
"Yes, and I told you before, no." She huffed. She pushed people out of her way in the crowded hall. Everyone glaring at her for touching them.
She walked up to her locker and open it. She put on a sun hat and grabbed a parcel. She took out a pair of silk gloves and slid them on. She put her hat on and closed her locker door. She walked towards the doors now. Bucky was sad that she had to cover up from the sun so she wouldn't get darker.
"Come on, just one little date, it never hurt anyone before." he joked. "Come on Abi!"
"I said No!" She yelled as she walked out of the doors of the school and open her parcel.
"Abigail," He grabbed her arm and turned her around. "Please, just one date, I promise that if you go on a date with me, I'll never ask you out again."
She gave him a skeptical look, then looked to the sidewalk, she sighed and looked him in the eyes, ready to tell him his answer.
"Okay."
"Really!" He smiled big. "You 're not trying to trick me, right?"
"Yes, James, I will go on a date with you. But, "She lifted up her index finger to him. "Only one, and no more harassing me about wanting me to be your girl."
"Okay, yeah, anything." He had a big goofy smile that made Abigail laugh. "When, uh, where, where do you want to go?" He was nervous asking her out for some reason, he never was like this with other girls.
"Anywhere you want to go, it's your choice. You know where to pick me up right?"
"I know where you live. That sounded weird, uh, I mean that I've picked you up from your house before, in, when it was July, and that,"
"Yeah," She giggled again. "How about I pick you up instead?"
"Why?"
"I have a car and you don't." She giggled.
"Oh, yeah! I'm fine with that. So, uh, pick me up around eight and I'll tell your driver where we are going." He wrote down his address for her.
"Ok, see you in a few hours. Bye James. Bye Steve." She gave Steve a hug before climbing in the black limo that pulled up a while ago. He and Steve waved goodbye to her.
"Why did she give you a hug?" Bucky asked him, his answer was a shrug.
"So, where are you going to take her? Havana Cabana, Sailors Jig Club, The Late Night Drinks, or The Three Duces?" Steve asked as they walked away from the school.
"I want to take her to The Cotton Club."
"Really? I thought that only the rich people can go there?"
"Yeah, but I've saved enough to get in. I'll take her out tonight, she'll see that I'm a suitable person to date, and I'll charm her as hard as I can, she'll fall in love with me, and next year at this time, we will be married."
"That crush you have on her seems more like an obsession their friend." Steve gave him a worried look.
"Why does everyone think I'm obsessed with her. I'm not, I just really like her."
"But why? There are many other girls in New York, and yet you don't act like this around them, hell, you didn't act like this with your ex's"
