Hanahaki (part 1)

David awakened from his bed. He stared at a wall staring blankly. Trying to remember last night's dreams. But it was useless suddenly it flickered in his mind. Oh yeah his dream was abou- and he forgot.

He shook his head trying to regain himself. David jumped off the bed and to the closet with a bounce. He threw off his pajamas and on went his uniform.

He plastered a smile on to his face as he rushed out the door. He grabbed the handle and swung it open.

Jasper had just woken up. He yawned as the sunlight shimmered through the tent. Sense there wasn't enough room in the counselors cabin he slept in a tent and his stuff was in the cabin.

He pulled the zipper of the tent and revealed a lot more light practically blinding him. He put his arm over his eyes trying to block the sun.
He murmured how much the sun was annoying under his breath.

Jasper's thoughts were interrupted by David greeting him and waving. This made Jasper smile.

"Hey Jas"

"Oh hey homeslice"

David ran up to Jasper to talk with him better.
Jasper walked past him to the cabin to change.
David followed forgetting his phone. Jasper opened the door and David quickly ran in and grabbed it.

Jasper quickly got changed in his uniform and walked out the door. He leaned the the outside of the cabin walls next to David.

"So Davey, sense the kids are still sleeping and we still have half an hour until the day starts, do you want to go on a walk"?

David looked up from his phone and at Jasper.
His face lit up as he smiled wider.

"Sure"!

David started walking to the forest and Jasper followed. When they were out of sight of the camp Jasper lightly held David's hand blushing and looking away.

David blushed at this and his smiled widend  if that was even possible. He wore a beautiful pink on his cheeks. That admired his eyes a lot. You could tell he was blushing.

David squeezed Jasper's hand by accident out of excitement. Jasper chucked and looked over to David with a soft smile.

"Heh your hands are warm"

David laughed a bit then covering his mouth and nose with his one free hand to his the blush that got darker and more appealing.

"Thanks I guess"

Five minutes later they arrived at a small hill. Jasper walked up it and sat down criss-cross applesauce. David sat down with him, he stared at the trees then at Jasper's eyes.

Oh they were beautiful. So pretty and blue.
Blue always held a part in David's heart. He didn't know why but Jasper's eyes were like pools of light. He felt himself melt into them.

But suddenly something just had to ruin it.
He winced in pain as small baby flowers grew in the back of David's neck. They were Anemones. Beautiful purple too but the flowers were so small they where easy to miss.

David put his hand up to touch they pain on instinct but quickly put it down after touching the flowers that only caused pain. He looked down at the grass hoping Jasper didn't notice.

He looked back up and plastered a fake smile on his face to symbolize that he was fine. Jasper looked at David with a worried expression.

"Davey what happened are you alright"!?

He didn't want David to be hurt he cared too much for him for that to happen.

"Y-yeah I'm fine"

He looked around everywhere but Jasper. This was a sign that someone was lying too you. And David wasn't the best of liars either.

Jasper noticed his neck and was filled with concern. He moved closer to David and spoke.

"David- stay still for a moment".

Jasper said as he held out one of his hands for David to hold.

"What"

David's shoulders went up as Jasper touched his face. David tensed up thinking if Jasper was going to touched it. Just thinking about it made him cringe.

Jasper eventually saw the small baby Anemones on his neck. He was confused he never saw anything like this before.

"Hey- when did you get this"?

Jasper asked in a worried tone. As he held both of David's hands as he said this. David shrugged and looked away then back at Jasper.

"I don't know"?

He sighed he looked around his face felt warm. But his breath was cold. Jasper put a hand on David's warm face.

"I wonder how this happened"?

He said as he examined he Anemones.
He looked away from the flowers and back into David's eyes.

"I-i honestly don't know how it happened or how it got there".

His eyes told everything to Jasper.
He wasn't lying and he wanted to know what it was as much as Jasper did.

"It just happened"

He was saying what was basically going through his mind. They came out of nowhere and he wonder why so bad.

Jasper hugged him tightly hoping David would feel better. This worked he smiled and hugged him back. Just being near Jasper made him happy.

He placed his head in the crook of Jasper's shoulder and neck. It was comfortable and nice. he didn't want this to end but he did want the pain to stop.
