My alarm clock starts to go off. -amenisa 5sos -i look at my clock.

"Ugh 6:30, school" i mumble under my breathe.

I get up and slowly walk to my closet. I put on a muscle tank that says "YEET". Grab my white high top converse then run to my dresser and grab ripped skinny jeans.

I check my phone. 6:40am. I get a text from my best friend Joana

~TEXTS~

Joana: hey after school come to my house for a sleepover

Me: okay gtg bye ❤️

Joana: byee❤️

I put my phone in my back pocket and run to the bathroom. I curl my long blonde hair then do my makeup: smokey eye, and some lip gloss. After im done with my makeup I quickly brush my teeth. Then start to walk down stairs.

My phone starts to ring so i look and it's my boyfriend Curt.

~CALL~

Curt: hey babe we have to talk after school (pause) meet me at the basket ball courts

Me:okay is everything alright?

Curt: gtg bye

Me:bye?

I hang up feeling sad. The school dance is coming up maybe he is just acting weird and wants me to think something is up so he can ask me to come with him. I think to myself. A smile frowns on my face and i continue walking down stairs.

I walk into the kitchen and sit down at the table next to my little sister, Sean. (she is 4). She is wearing a princess dress and sandals. My mom brings 2 plates of steaming eggs, 2 small pancakes, and 1 sausage link.

"Thanks mom." I say as my as she walks into the kitchen and brings out two cups of milk.

"Welcome sweety."

"Aren't you gonna eat??"

"I already did Hun don't worry"

"Okay. Love you guys I gotta get to school." I say and hug Sean and kiss her forehead. I turn to my mom and hug her.

I walk out the door "Bye!" I yell. I close the door before they can reply. I get into my car and drive to school. 7:24 am. I have about 6 minutes so I sit in my car and listen to 5sos. my favorite band. I hear a knock on my window and it startles me. I look up and see Tori, my other best friend. "hey!" she says "hey" I say back. I get out of my car and lock the doors. "where's Joanna I ask tori.

"She got sick this morning she wanted me to tell u that she has to cancel the sleep over"

"Oh okay I hope she feels better" me and tori walk into first period. Math. Ew. It feels like Math is forever but it's only like an hour and a half. I walk out and my phone starts to ring.

~PHONE CALL~

Me: hello?

???: hello it's Joanna's mom

Me: oh hi Julia! is everything okay?

Julia: um actually no.. Joana is in the hospital it's very serious. Could you come down here?

Me: oh my gosh. Yes I will be there soon!

~END OF PHONE CALL~

I start to cry and run to my car. I call my mom and tell her everything I also tell her to call my school and tell them I left. After I hang up I call tori and put her on speaker so I don't get a ticket. I tell her everything and she hangs up quick.

I arrive at the hospital about 15 minutes later and I run in to the front desk. "where's joanas room!" I say to the lady. "only family is aloud in. are you related to her?" she says. "no I'm her best friend" I say and go sit down in the waiting room and I wait for tori with my head in my hands. I hear someone run in and I turn around. it's tori.

I call her over to where I'm at and I tell her only family can go in. we both sit down in the waiting area.

After about 45 minutes I hear a boy run in he runs to the front desk and starts to cry. "where is Dylan?!" He asks the lady. "No one can go in right now I'm sorry. you can sit in the waiting room if you would like." she says and points to were me and tori are sitting.

Me and him make eye contact but I look away. Another boy runs in and says, " Matthew!" He runs over to the boy sitting across from me. I look at tori and she gets up and walks to the bathroom. I pull out my phone and txt my mom.

I look up and the boy that ran in was hugging Matthew I guess his name is. I recognized the other boy. I think his name is carter. He is in my History class. they sit down and then tori comes out of the bathroom. she looked like she cried more. she walked over to the desk and I followed.

We asked the lady if we can visit now and she said we could.
