It was the day of the party, and
I couldn't seem to be able to get
myself out of the bathroom, which
I locked myself in.

I was hunched over, my
hands gripped on the rim of
the sink, standing in front of
the mirror, utterly stressed
out.

Was my outfit too much?

Did I look bad?

I was not ready to see so many
faces of people whom I did not
know. It was my friend, the friend
who knew everybody. Who knew
who he invited?

Being one in many unknown people,
in a house, while loud music played, and
people doing many different activities,
horrified me.

There were so many
situations which I could've
be in, many consequences,
many problems.

What if my friend invited
untrustworthy people? What
if they kidnaped or spiked
somebody, and that was
me?

Tears threatened to spill out
and run down my cheeks, as my
mind continuously fogged with
these worries circling around in
my head.

Why did I have to be
like this?

So frail, anxious
and emotional.

My breathing became heavier by
the moment and just when I was about
to break down, a knock noised from the
bathroom door.

"Hoseok, sweetie? Are you
okay? You've been in there for
half an hour..."

"Ahaha... I'm okay, mama.
I'm just perfecting myself
for tonight, that's all." I
laughed.

"Be quick then!"

"Don't worry!
I'm done."

I opened the door and my mother
was seated, waiting for me patiently,
so that she could drive me to my
friend's house.

"Do I look good?"

"When does my son never
look handsome?" She smiled.

I cracked one
back at her.

"Now, come on, let's go. It'll
soon be seven, you don't want to
be late and miss out the many
chances to attract all those boys,
do you?" Her grin grew wider.

I snickered,
"No mama."
