After me and Alex finished our food we went walking around. It wasn't my proudest moment, but I might have asked him to stay with me for a little while longer. He didn’t seem to mind my company and I was really comfortable around him.      "Do you have any pets?" I asked turing my head to look at him.         "Yup. Two huskies and some fish."       "Those are the most beautiful dogs ever. Sadly, every time I've had pet fish they've died. And I always fed it. Though for like a week I kind of forgot about him..."          Alex laughed at me. "Fish do die easily. I've only had mine for two weeks though. "          "What type of music do you listen to?"          "Country obviously but I like a little rock. What about you?"          "Rock, meatal, pop, stuff like that. I can deal with some country. "          "Let me guess, you're a Swifty?"           "Damn right I am. She's incredible."           "She puts her business out in her music. I mean yeah she's a great artist, but she gives a whole new meaning to airing the dirty laundry. "

"I guess that's true in a way. At least she's making money off her heartache. "            "Do you like Linkin Park?" Asked Alex.            "Duh! They're the only band where I can hear every song they've ever made and enjoy it."            "Yeah. They're one of the few rock artists I listen to."            "So, do you have a favorite artist?"            "Hmm, maybe Lady Antebellum. "            "Awe, you like love songs."             He laughed. "I guess. I like my music slow and calm."            "You're the opposite of me. The faster the better."            "Who's your favorite artist?"            "Lady Gaga." I said immediately.            "Figures you'll like the weird chick." He said pulling a lock of my blue dyed hair at the ends.             I stuck my tongue out at him. " I like being weird. Seriously though, she's an amazing artist and person. She doesn't judge and is very accepting. I love her so much mostly because she supports me and others like me."          Alex had a confused look on his face. He obviously didn't understand what I meant.            "I'm gay." I clarified. Not so much when I'm around you though,  apparently.             He studied me carefully before glancing away. "Cool."              I stopped walking. "That's it? Cool?"              He shrugged.  "What else did you want me to say?"              "No egotistical remark on how you can turn me straight or I'm destined to burn in hell for all eternity?"              "People say stuff like that to you?" He asked frowning.              "Yeah, once in a while. " I said resuming our walk. "Not many people know. "              "Well they're idiots. You're perfect. " My heart did a stutter beat. I wish everyone thought like that. It'll decrease a lot of suicides.               We walked in silence for several minutes. Surprisingly,  it wasn't uncomfortable or awkward. I didn’t feel the need to grapple for something to say to feel the silence.              "Ooh! Let's go to the park!" I exclaimed taking off running.  He made me want to feel like a child again.              "So, are we racing?" Asked Alex quickly catching up to me.              My lungs were starting to burn. "Yeah,"               "Let's make this interesting. Last one there has to do whatever the other requests,  within reason. "

I just nodded and pushed my legs to run faster. Maybe I shouldn't have spotted the park almost two blocks away.

Me and Alex were pretty much leg in leg until the last half block. Then the damn guy flew past me. Curse him with his long legs and stamina.         By the time I made it inside the gate I was wheezing.  I put my hands over my knees and tried to catch my breath, but instead fell into the comfort of cold grass.        "You really need to get in shape, darlin."  He said pulling me up by my waist.        "No." I gasped. "You're just in humanely fast. And a guy." I gasped out. "You had an unfair advantage."        He laughed. "Someone's a sore loser."        His arms were still wrapped around my waist. I was leaning heavily against him and his lips brushed my ear as he talked. It made me shiver. What's wrong with me tonight?        "I'm okay now." I said pushing him off me. "Females. " I could've sworn I heard him mutter, but when I glanced at him he quickly looked away. Thought so.       "Let's get on the swings." He suggested. "I'll push you."          I nodded and we began to make our way to the swings. There were four swings altogether. I sat in the middle one and Alex came up behind me.         "Ready?" He asked grabbing the chain where it ended with the seat. I clutched the chains harder and nodded.          "Up, up, and away!" Alex said jokingly as he began to push me. I just laughed. Since I was wearing Alex's jacket the wind didn't really bother me. It actually felt pretty good, so I tilted my head back and looked at the stars. Watching the sky could make you feel so pointless.         "What's got your forehead all scrunched up, darlin?"         "Nothing. " I answered quickly. No one needed to be privy to the shit that went on in my head.         "You can talk to me."          I wanted to. I wanted to tell someone about what happens at home, why I'm the way I am, but if there's anything I've learned is people will only show you what they want you to see. I don't trust anyone enough to tell them my life story. I'll end up the one hurt in the end.         "Just wondering what you have in store for me, since you won the race and all. " He knew that wasn't the whole of it, but he let it go.         "I have something in mind..." He teased.  and pushed me higher on the swing.         "To infinity and beyond!" I exclaimed fist pumping.         He chuckled. "I was thinking of something simpler. And possible." He grabbed onto the swing to stop me and the momentum dragged him forward a bit.         "Like?" I questioned hopping off the swing.         Alex took his phone out out his back pocket. A few moments later a song started to play. A One Direction song.           "Please tell me you're not a guy Directioner."           "And if I am?" He asked cocking a brow.           "You have proven that you are certified crazy." Like all Directioners.           "Tread carefully, darlin. I'm not above creating a hate page." He answered jokingly. Or not.           "You have solidified my point. Who creates a hate page when someone doesn't like what you like?"           "Directioners." He answered proudly.           "Is this the part where you tell me you're bi?"           He frowned. "I'm straight. "       "I don’t know any straight guys that like One Direction."       He grabbed the pocket of his jacket to pull me against his hard chest. A very nice hard chest I couldn't help but notice.        "Darlin, trust me. I like to sink myself in a soft body." His eyes were dark with promise. I could feel my body flushing with heat.        "Okay. I believe you." I tried to step back, but he just pulled me closer.        "Trying to run away?" He asked lowly. "You owe me a dance."        "That's why you're playing One Direction?" I purposely ignored his question. The most experience I had with guys was pushing them away. The way I responded to him amazed and scared me.
