I skated past a bunch of people walking slowly on the foot path, narrowly missing a bleached blonde girl wearing unnecessarily high heals. She let out a high pitched screech as I cut right in front of her. Dropping her (from the looks of it) highly expensive hand bag, letting the also highly expensive makeup to spill onto the sidewalk.

"You mainiach!!" She screamed at me

Letting a chuckle escape my lips I turned back to look at her just in time to see two young guys already picking up her handbag for her. Yet again, another beautiful reminder of how far being fake can get you in the world.

I rolled my eyes at the petty display and kept on skating down the pathway towards my house..... One of my only sanctuary's.

I continued skating down my street doing a few Ollie's onto some bus seats. After turning around to see if there was any cars coming I jumped down onto the road so I could see my street better to could turn in easier. Last time I turned too sharply And came flying off my board and lost a couple layers of skin. It hurt like hell, but it was pretty cool- I got a week or two off school to let my skin grow back.

As I waited for my turn for my street to come up I thought I'd do a few more tricks. I didn't even notice a black van zoom up beside me. I stared at the shiny windows trying to see in but no such luck, they were those black tinted windows, like the ones the celebrity's ride around in. I flipped the board so I was facing the ominous car, earning a few 'Hollas!' From inside the car. Well well well whoever's inside must like my moves ;). The car slowed down until it was around the same speed as me. I grasped onto the side view mirror and showed the guys in the van some more of my moves. I noticed the back seat of the passenger side was down a crack, about an inch or two.hmm this gives me an idea, I pulled back a little decreasing my speed and held onto the back bar of the car. I think they obviously thought I fell off or something because the car slowed down a lot. I swerved to the side of the car in hopes they could see me. I aggressively pointed forwards gesturing for them to go faster. The black van automatically thruster forwards sending me flying down the road behind it letting a huge grin light up my face. I almost forgot that I was supposed to be looking for my street. Even if it pained me to leave these people, I don't even know them but they seem like a fun group for giving me a boost. I turned my attention to the streets I was flying past and saw mine coming up pretty fast. Oh shit. I glanced back at the car, the car window was fully down. I'm not gunna lie Its Tempting, but I'm pretty sure if I don't bail now, I'm gunna loose even more skin than last time . I pushed myself away from the van.

"Thanks for the ride guys! See you around!!" I yell as I speed past the window and swerve into my street, ducking down as far as I possibly could with my knees almost scraping on the road that's speeding so fast underneath me that it's a huge blur. I only narrowly miss the gutter as I successfully sped down my street. Thanks to those guys in the black van, I made it home very quickly. I arrived home just as my mum came out the front carrying a bag of rubbish in one hand and a box of recycling under the other. I stomp on the side of my skateboard sending it flying upwards so I can tuck it under my arm I jog over to mum who looks like she's struggling.

"Hey mum!" I chirp grabbing the recycling box from under her arm.

"Max!" She said wrapping her spare arm around my shoulders "home early again I see"

"Yeah, you know me" I laughed brushing it off .

"I remember when I was your age" she said opening the rubbish bin and throwing the bag inside. "I never really liked school either, it was such a nuisance to me" she said reminiscing as I empty out the recycling box into the recycling bin.

"I'm happy that you finally understand mum.. Know let me leave school please??" I begged her for what felt like the thousandth time this year.

Mum just smiled " you know I can't do that sweetie!" She said patting me on the back as we started to walk back to the front door. " Times have changed since I dropped out of school, with most jobs nowerdays you need to finish school! And besides you don't have that long to go!" She explained again, a convocation we have had about a million times before. We stepped back inside and I instantly headed for the kitchen Throwing my bag on the couch in the process. I swang open the fridge and stuck my head inside searching for anything to feast on. I pulled out a jumbo jar of netela, one of my favourite foods. I grabbed a sppon from the draw and planted my butt on the counter top, digging into the delicous chocolaty goodness.
