minho sat patiently on the couch, waiting for jisung so he could tell him everything. to say the least, minho was nervous. he didn't know what to expect.

as soon as he heard a soft knock on the door, he shot up and ran over to it as quickly as he could. once it was opened and he saw the squirrel looking boy, he didn't hesitate to pull him into a hug.

they sat in the door way for a good five minutes, just holding each other until minho finally pulled away and let his boyfriend in. he grabbed onto his hand and led him to his bedroom, and once they were both situated on the bed, minho turned to him and spoke,

"what happened, jisungie? where have you been?"

jisung let out a loud sigh, leaning back against the bed, "it's a long story, so are you ready?"

minho lied down next to him, grabbing onto his hand and lacing their fingers as he mumbled a small, "always."

"so, i guess i should start from the beginning. as a child, i was always really close to my father, i looked up to him. i thought he was the most amazing person ever. little did i know, he was a piece of shit," jisung scoffed, pausing for a moment. "he was cheating on my mother with a different woman every night. my mother found out, so she took me and we left. for a while, she was doing fine, but then she started drinking. and she... she became abusive. not physically, verbally and mentally. always telling me i'm worthless and i'm the reason why father didn't love us. i didn't ever let it get to me, because i knew it wasn't true."

he stopped talking for a few seconds, turning over so he could look at minho. minho put a hand on his cheek, nodding his head for him to continue.

"even though she would say those things, i still had hope that she loved me. you know that day i showed up to your house in tears? well, i was talking to my friend, seungmin, over the phone about how i got a boyfriend, and how happy i was. and i guess she heard me. because when i left my room, she called me horrible slurs... and she hit me. she took my phone away and forced me to quit my job, and practically locked me in the house. she's been hitting me every day, lately," minho noticed his voice crack and sat up, pulling the boy with him and hugging him tightly.

"s-she doesn't love me, minho.. and maybe everything she said was true. maybe i really am worthless. maybe if i wasn't so fucking worthless.. she would love me," jisung began sobbing at this point, and minho could feel his heart break.

"jisung, listen to me," he lifted the boys head up, forcing him to look at him. "you are not worthless. you never were, and you never will be. i'm going to get you away from your mother, okay? i'm gonna make sure you're safe and i..."

jisung looked at him with confused eyes, his head tilting slightly as he waited for him to continue.

"i promise, i'll bring that light back."
