Richie had been talking about seeing a scary movie with Eddie for a date forever. Eddie of course, was way too much of a scaredy cat to see a real scary movie. Instead, the two had decided to see The Addams Family.

Richie rode his bike over to Eddies house, where he admit; it was much more quiet and calm than his own. Getting off his bike, he pulled out a book from his backpack. Walking up to the porch of Eddies house, he knocked neatly. Eddies mom answered the door, and he smiled, pushing his glasses up.
"Hi, Ms. Kaspbrak, I have Eddies book-" Richie said, before getting cut off.
"Eddie!" Eddies mom yelled upstairs.
Richie could hear a thump, which he could tell was Eddie. With the sound of footsteps running down the stairs, Eddie was soon at the door, greeting Richie. "Hey, Rich." Eddie said, smiling at Richie. He then over looked at his mom. "Can Richie come study upstairs?" Eddies mom groaned, which Richie assumed was a 'yes'.
Eddie turned to walk upstairs, and Richie followed after him. After they got out of eyesight of Eddies mom, Richie wrapped his arms around Eddie and brought him into a tight hug. Eddie wrapped his arms around Richie, hugging him back.
"I missed you." Eddie mumbled into Richies shirt. The two let go of each other. "I missed you too, cutie." Richie said back, with a big smile on his face, showing his teeth.
Richie threw himself onto Eddies bed.
"So what's the plan?" Richie asks Eddie.
"My mom should be asleep at 10pmish- and the movie starts at 10:30, right?"
Richie put his thumb up. "Yep so we have to leave at 10:30 to get there."
Eddie furrowed his eyebrows and stared at Richie.
"No?" Richie asked, sitting up in the bed, looking at Eddie. Eddie just shakes his head 'no'.
"I'm just messing with you. We're leaving at 10:10."
Eddie exhaled in relief.
"You really thought I was that bad at math?" Richie put his hand on his chest, as if he was offended.
"No! I just thought-"
"I'm just playing with you" Richie chuckled to himself before leaning back onto Eddies bed.

Richie left about 10 mins ago and it was 9:50, so the time was getting closer to 10pm, and Eddie was getting nervous about leaving without telling his mom. Eddie was wearing a thick sweater and some black pants, covered by a blanket, then he heard a knock at his bedroom door. His mom went into his bed to say goodnight and when she left, Eddie got out of his bed immediately, peaking out of his bedroom, watching his mom go into her room. After she closed her door, he closed his own. Walking over to his window, he opened it and Richie climbed in, his pale cheeks red because of the coldness outside in the chilly November night.
"I am freezing..." Richie said, rubbing his hands together to make some warmth. "Care to warm me up, Edster?" He winked at Eddie.
"My boyfriend is so funny." Eddie said sarcastically, walking over to his closet, grabbing his jacket.
"You look cute, is that sweater your grandmas?" Richie joked.
Eddie put on his jacket and zipped it up, covering his sweater, which was his grandmas.
"Okay, we have to go." Eddie said, walking to his window. Richie cut him off and went in front of him. "No, no, no, no, no, no. What kind of boyfriend would I be if I let you go down, what could be a dangerous drop?" Richie asked.
"I'm your boyfriend too." Eddie said, rolling his eyes. Richie faked a gasp, as he opened the window. "You? My boyfriend? I'm honoured, Eddie. Truly."
Eddie mentally facepalmed.
Richie climbed out the window, balancing on the tree outside his house. He helped Eddie out. Climbing down the tree, he also helped Eddie with that too. After the two boys were on the ground safely, Richie stopped Eddie and made him face him. "Close your eyes." Richie said Eddie groaned, but closed his eyes regardless.
Richie guided Eddie over to the street and stopped him. "Okay open." Eddie opened his eyes and saw Richies moms car. "Richie." Eddie looked at Richie, concern filling his eyes. "Just for tonight, please?"

Richie knew how to drive, but Eddie did not trust him, whatsoever. Beverly was the one who taught Rich how to drive, and no offence to Bev, but Eddie trusted her just as much as he trusted Rich. Richie opened the car door open for Eddie, and Eddie sighed and got into the car. Richie closed his door then made his way over to the drivers seat.
"Thanks, Eddie." Richie said, as he put the keys into the car, getting ready to start driving. "Just, please, don't crash us." Eddie said, putting on his seatbelt. "No promises." Richie replied, a grin on his face.

Richie pulled into the parking lot of the movie theatre, slightly scaring Eddie. He didn't mean to break that quickly, honestly. Regardless, Eddie was excited for the movie date with his lovely boyfriend. Rich told him he could buy them popcorn to share, and he was sneaking snacks in. Richie looked over at Eddie in awe. He really did love Eddie, and he couldn't believe Eddie loved him too. Eddie smiled at him. "I love you, Rich." "I love you too, Eds."
The two got out of the car and walked into the movie theatre, holding hands. As the two waited to buy tickets, Eddie could hear a group of girls behind them talking shit about Richie's broken glasses. He was usually the target of bullying, and he didn't care, but when it came to Richie, he got pretty mad at times. He looked behind them and glared at the group of girls. He was too nervous to do anything else. After Rich bought their tickets, they went to buy some popcorn.

After they settled down in their seats, they noticed how empty the theatre was, and they usually used empty theatres to their advantage. They put their feet up on the chairs in front of them and were talking before the movie started. When the movie started, they settled down. Some boys were still talking, and Richie threw some popcorn at their heads, earning an angry glare from them, but Richie heard a giggle from Eddie. About halfway through the movie, Eddie leaned onto his boyfriends shoulder and Richie leaned his head onto his. The popcorn was done, and they were holding each others hands. Their fingers were intertwined, and Eddie felt complete calmness. There were no worries in the world. That's usually how he felt whenever he was with Richie; protected, and safe. As the movie came to an end and the credits started rolling, Eddie kissed Richie on the cheek. "Thanks for seeing this with me, instead of a scary movie."
Richie and Eddie were dating for years now, but he still got red every time Eddie kissed him. "Thanks for dating me." Richie replied, a grin on his face.

While Richie was driving Eddie home, he kept checking on him to see if he was asleep. As they arrived at Eddies house, Eddie was fast asleep, and Richie felt so bad that he had to wake him. He leaned over and dug through Eddies pockets for his keys, which he found immediately. Getting out of the car, he went to Eddies side and opened the door, unbuckling his seatbelt, he picked him up. Eddie groaned, but was still pretty asleep. Richie only slightly struggled as he picked him up. Carrying him over to the door, he was definitely struggling more. He tried so hard to open the door, and he did, but he didn't wanna drop Eddie, so he just brought him into the living room and laid him on the couch. He grabbed a blanket that was on a chair, and put it on Eddie. Richie bent down to kiss Eddie on the cheek.
"Goodnight, Eddie. I love you."
He put the house keys onto the kitchen table and locked the door before leaving.
