Jack and Kenzi

Setting: A little, old apartment in a nice part of Safe Haven. Kenzi is 23 and works as a diner waitress. Jack is 24 and still works at and is now the owner of the Observatory since Dan passed away 2 days earlier. This is the aftermath.

(Jack's POV)

I start getting ready for work. It's hard going to the observatory now that Dan is gone. No more smiling face of an old man to welcome me. I feel a tear trail down my cheek. I hear the bedroom door open and Kenzi enters.

Kenzi: Hey baby, could you- Jack, are you okay? 

She sits next to me, putting her arm around me as I lean into her, breaking down into tears.

Me: I feel so empty Kenzi, Dan's gone, my greatest friend is gone. It hurts knowing that he won't be at the Observatory to welcome me anymore. I just...

Kenzi hugs me, kissing my forehead and rubbing my back. 

Kenzi: I know, I know. But you know Dan would want you to move on, why else would he leave the observatory to you in his will? He's still watching over you.

I sigh and get up, pulling on my overalls.

Me: You're right, you're always right. I guess I did make one right choice in my life...

Kenzi: And what would that be?

Me: Choosing to have crush on the sweetest girl in the world. Thanks Kenzi. I'd better get going. We both have work.

I get up, pull her in for a sweet kiss, then walk out into the slowly coming night, knowing that Dan will be watching me tonight.

(Okay, That's Hunter and Jill and Jack and Kenzi done. I got 2 left but next is Zech and Simon. Sorry I haven't been on, I have a lot going on atm. But I will be posting as often as I can. Until the next chapter, BUH-BYE!!!)
