much to his dislike, jisung had clung to felix for the rest of the day. it wasn't that the boy was annoying, which he was, but it was his overwhelming, innocent, ignorance which really pressed felix's buttons.
felix knew it was selfish of him to be bothered by this trait, because jisung couldn't control how he'd been brought up, or what he'd been sheltered from. yet at the same time it was skin-stabbingly obvious that jisung hadn't been exposed to much as a kid, had been 'helicopter-patented' as felix called it. to jisung, the world was all sugar stars and rainbow kittens, felix had come to this conclusion when jisung had opted to tell him the worst thing that had ever happened in his life. felix, being the person he was, expected some kind of family death, or perhaps a near run in, but no, no the worst thing that had ever happened to jisung involved his pet rat.
unbelievable.
the story filled felix with a disposition towards the kid, you see, felix was from a very different world, having to grow up much too fast for his own good. in that way he found it difficult to befriend the empty-headed.
finally, after classes finished in the early afternoon, felix was dragged from jisungs side by one of the year twelve, prefect students.
"and anyway... that's how i found out that not only was my guinea pig not actually dead, but had also been buried alive by my sister who was actually convinced he was dead and i-"
felix slammed his locker a little too loudly, it was unintentional, brought on by an impulse fed by frustration, that same frustration fed impulse causing him to twitch slightly in his left eye as jisung ranted about his 'undead hamster' or something for what felt like the fifth time that day.
he was grateful for the effect it had though, the strident and sudden clutter of metal against metal had
caused jisung to shut his mouth.felix twisted the hasp of his locker door to secure it, before slowly turning to jisung, ready to explain to him that he really didn't care at all about his undead rodent.
"jisung, i don't want to hurt your fee-"
he was interrupted, "lee felix?", a voice that mimicked wind-chimes fell into his line of attention.
felix bit his tongue, half thankful that he had an excuse not to hurt the sweet boys feelings, but also a little bummed he wouldn't be able to see the look on jisungs chubby face when he crushed his self-esteem, "that's me..", he replied, turning to face the boy who'd summoned him.
the boy was stout and stocky, and at first glance would be considered to be the same height as felix, although in reality he was taller. he had kind eyes that were shaped like crescent moons, that warped into thin, curved lines when he smiled, and his head was adorned with a silvery, forest of lush hair, that flowed delicately as he moved and framed his face in the softest way.
