There was snow on the ground and the sound of laughing children playing outside in the chilly air as y/n walked down the stairs, only to find her brother Finn making breakfast.

"Hey, could you go to the store and buy me more eggs? I've burned so many and I only have one more." he asked, as he shoved burnt eggs in the trash can.

Y/n only chuckled and nodded as she grabbed her keys and headed out the door, jogging to her car to escape the cold.

It was times like these that she loved, alone time with her brother during the winter. For her and Finn had been close ever since they were little, so being together always made them happy.  Their parents weren't around since it was time for their yearly trip to Hawaii, so she and her big brother got the house all to themselves for Christmas break.

Y/n pulled into the store parking lot, and caught herself humming the tune of 'deck the halls' as she got out of her car, and once again jogged inside the store.

"Hello!" she heard a warm voice greet her as she looked over and slightly waved to the clerk. Once she got over to the egg section, she hadn't realized someone had walked up next to her.

As she moved out of the way, she looked up only to find a boy about her age with golden brown curls, cute hazel eyes and perfect dimples smiling down at her.

"Hey, I just need to get those." he awkwardly pointed at a specific brand of eggs, and she moved out of the way quickly.

"O-oh, sorry." y/n tucked her hair behind her ear and looked at the floor, blushing profusely as she stepped out of the way, and as he got closer to grab his eggs, she could smell the faint scent of Calvin Klein cologne on him, and as she stood there, the only thing she could think was 'that's a scent I could get used to.'

But her thoughts were broken as she heard him talking to her, asking her questions, "Look I've never gotten these type before, have you? Because I need to know if they're good or not." he asked in a soft tone.

"Oh, yeah that's the brand I'm getting. It's pretty good I guess, they're for my brother so I w-wouldn't know."

he smiled fondly at her, and nodded, "Thanks! I just needed to know for my brother too." he giggled quietly after saying so and he beamed when she smiled up at him.
