oh! and ~~~ means time skip :,)
y/n POV
I hesitated before typing in the number that the boy from the store had neatly written down on a ripped piece of paper into my phone, texting him the simple question of 'want to have dinner? if you're free, that is.' and patiently waited for an answer.
"What did you text him? Please tell me you didn't use 'lol' or something.. please god." Finn asked with a panicked tone.
"What? No no no, I would never. That's gross." I scrunched up my nose and picked up my phone as I heard it buzz.
random boy from the store that finn made me text: sure! just send me the address lol
I physically cringed at the 'lol' by scrunching up my nose and making a faint 'bleh' sound.
"What? Did he say no?" Finn asked.
"No, no. He said yeah. I just really regret listening to you because he used 'lol'. Thanks Finn, what have you gotten me into?" I giggled and texted the boy my address.
wyatts POV.
cute girl from the store: 4587 Merrymont Lane. Be here at 6.
I read the text over and over again, practically memorizing her address while waiting for 6 o'clock to come.
It all seems odd, I went to the store to get eggs. Getting her number and going to have dinner with her honestly seems like a cringey wattpad story that I'd read at four in the morning. It's really crazy. But nevertheless, I'm still grateful that she's not just going to leave me hanging. That'd be a hell of a bummer.
~~time skip brought to you by the laziness of the author~~
y/n POV
I put on a simple outfit while Finn cooked dinner. We waited for the arrival of our guest, which I dreaded the thought of spending the evening with. But who knows, I might end up enjoying it.
~~~~~
I opened the door to see the cute boy I had met from the store. He had beautiful brown eyes and so many curls upon his head.
He smiled down at me and handed me a single rose, saying it was for me being so kind as to invite him over.
Finn stood behind me and slightly waved at the boy, it was very awkward.
"Oh! Come in, sorry. It's freezing outside!"
He walked in and I smelled his cologne again, and I smiled faintly. "No, no don't be sorry! It's alright!" He replied as he smiled back, and I saw his pink nose from being in the cold. I have to admit, he was really cute.
wyatts POV
When she let me in, I saw a taller boy whom I recognized. Finn!
"Finn??" I asked, smiling at him and holding my hand out for him to shake.
"Wyatt??" He asked in return, shaking my hand.
"You two know each other..?" The girl from the store asked, quite confused.
"Hell yeah! He was in my chemistry class last year, he's a hell of a guy." He said to her, while patting my back.
y/n POV
Finding out that the cute boy was my brothers friend made me dread it more. It won't be a date anymore, it'll be Finn and Wyatt catching up. This couldn't get any worse.
