It was about four in the morning when Ari walked into his superior's office, though the first thing that hit him in the face was a blast of cold air. Looking around revealed every inch of office covered in Ice.
"Um-" Ari warily said, stepping in. "Captain, whats all of this?" Though it wasn't apparent that Toshiro Hitsugaya was inside the room, with all of the ice and snow, he could feel the familiar spiritual pressure beneath the fluffy white and transparent almost slush. "I know you're angry with Matsumuto-"
He flinched back when the tiny captain emerged from his snow and ice cocoon to glare with annoyed teal eyes. Though in taking a step backwards, Ari momentarily forgot the ice that covered the floor was indeed still there, caused him to slip and slam his head into the floor.
A slight chuckle made Ari lift his head a little. The ice Captain found that amusing?
"I am beauty I am grace..." Ari muttered, sitting up. "Glad I can be the butt of a joke." Taking a deep breath, he looked back toward his captain trying to reign in his spiritual pressure to allow the ice wonderland to stay in place. "Seriously whats this all for?"
A white brow raised at the question, as if answering with another question. Seriously?
It's summer Ari. Kodaina pointed out. You're fine in the winter months, but he isn't fine in the summer months.
"Stupid question." Ari mended, he was used to being wrong. He was used to being treated like a stupid child, in which case he by all means was. "Either way... I just wanted to come and get some paperwork. I figured we could get some off of the table before-"
He stopped when Captain Hitsugaya lifted a hand. "Calm down Hyuuga. We're taking a day off."
Ari felt like the world shattered to pieces. "I-I'm sorry what?" That wasn't like the Toshiro Hitsugaya he knew. "You want to take a day off?"
"Even I have to rest sometimes." His Captain explained, shrugging nonchalantly. "You just can't tell Matsumoto that." He warned, getting to his feet. Hitsugaya shook his head and crossed the room to stop infront of Ari.
Looking up, Ari shakily took the hand the shorter male offered. "I see." He murmured.
"How familiar are you with Ice skating?"
Startled with the question, Ari shrugged. He didn't really have previous experience with the subject in question. Much less in practice than in facts. When he told his captain of such, they spent the rest of the afternoon trying to teach Ari how to ice skate.
The keyword trying.
Ari flinched as he slammed himself into another wall, only to be stabilized by a smaller structure. "Yeah I'm never gonna get this captain." He muttered, still a bit dizzy. It felt as if he'd slammed straight into the brick wall known as Zaraki. Or ran over. He wasn't sure which would be worse.
"You'll get this." Hitsugaya promised, backing away when his third seat was properly upright on the ice. He was surprisingly very patient, though Ari figured that was understandable. Due to him being a captain and all, having to train new recruits.
It was after he succeeded that the skating became fun. Though it was still strange to skate without proper ice skating gear. But this was Hitsugaya's ice he was talking about. Pausing in his skating, Ari hopped up onto the desk and watched his captains practiced moves across the ice, sometimes even raising the ice to ride against the wall before being pulled down by gravity.
He could handle being apart of Division ten... yeah.
Angst Ending:

His eyes widened when Captain Hitsugaya's Hyorinmaru suddenly stabbed him through the scar ghetsis gave him. Golden eyes trailed down the blade of the Zanpakuto, up Captain Hitsugaya's arm then fixed onto his face.
A Regai.
"You were a lot more easy to trick than I thought. I didn't even have to use Hitsugaya's strength." The Regai Toshiro smirked, standing up from his spot. "Though you were a loyal subordinate, Hyuuga."
He'd played right into the hands of whoever planned it.
Ari bit back a shriek as the faux captain ripped it out of his chest. 0
"Reign upon the Frosted Heavens-" The regai chanted, lifting up his Captains treasured blade above his head.
Ari sat up and immediately reached for Kodaina Shiro, however his hand froze when he looked into Teal eyes. His breathing became shallow as he fought the rational and protective instincts that pulsed through his veins. A small smirk crossed the Regai Hitsugaya's face.
Hyorinmaru
