▽Chapter Twenty-Five:

~•After the movie the boys said their goodbyes before heading back to the hotel. Jonghyun could only give a soft wave as SoonHee saw him off with a smile. So many things were running through his head he didn't know how to calm his thoughts. He took his seat in the van and watched Onew exchange a few words with Sori before hugging her and heading to the van. It was a quiet ride, it was late and everyone was tired. Once getting back to the hotel they headed to their rooms but Jonghyun only stood outside his door. Ones glanced at him worriedly seeing he was just staring at the doorknob. "Did you forget your key?" He asked and Jonghyun turned to him "Hyung." Onew's eyes widened a little at his tone and troubled expression "Can I talk to you for a minute?" He did need to ask if something was bothering him, it was clear on his face. "Sure."

•~Jonghyun sat at the end of the bed staring at his hands as Onew took off his jacket. "I kind of already have a feeling this is another SoonHee situation." Jonghyun didn't respond as he walked across the room then stood in front of him. It took a second for Jonghyun to notice the water bottle in his hand then looked up at Onew. "You look like you need it." Jonghyun took it as his gaze once again fell to his hands. The bed shook as Onew sat next to him taking a sip of his already half-empty bottle. "Hyung" Jonghyun finally spoke and Onew turned to him "When did you know that you had feelings for Oka-San?" Onew choked on his water and wiped his mouth "B-Bwoh?!" "What do you mean 'what?!', do you not like her that way?" Onew chuckled shyly "Ani. I do it's just...am I trying too hard?" Jonghyun grinned and shook his head "It's not as obvious as Nabi and Taemin. From an outsiders point of view, it just looks like you two are close friends." Ones grinned to himself "We are so, that's not a lie. But I've been getting restless with just being her friend." Jonghyun quickly turned his body to him "How did you get to that point?? When did you know for sure that you honestly liked her?" Onew raised a brow "Do you like SoonHee?" He sighed "I don't know! That's why I'm asking you for help!" He flopped back on the bed and covered his eyes with his arm "I felt like I sorted everything out but after tonight I'm more confused then I've ever been..." "Well...when did she stop being just a friend to you?" Onew asked curiously. He was met with silence before removing his arm "When we first had that fight...I got really scared. Not only because of the fight but I saw a different part of her. I was worried about her but I think I thought about her constantly for other reasons. And when I kissed her, the whole time we didn't talk after was hell for me. I tried to make myself feel better by saying it was a mistake but I was only thinking about myself. I just knew I didn't want to lose my relationship with SoonHee. I want her in my life." Onew stared at him "So what made you kiss her in the first place?" "I was drunk..." "Bullshit." Onew sneered and Jonghyun looked at him "Drunk or not. You went all the way to her room just to kiss her, and you remember all that, so you must remember why you kissed her." Jonghyun couldn't argue and looked away "I can't remember EVERYTHING. I just wanted to see her. And when I looked at her face..." he trailed off and Onew leaned in anticipation. "I remembered all the times she cried in front of me and yelled at me. All those pained expressions filled my head and I just wanted to erase them." "And you thought kissing her than acting like nothing happened the next day and breaking her heart for the second time would work?" Jonghyun let out an annoyed sigh, he know Onew was somewhat teasing him by his sly smirk but he only felt worse. "I don't know if I kissed her because I felt sorry, or because I really wanted to...I don't want to like her out of pity I wanna like her because I like her..." Onew knew Jonghyun was fully aware of his wrongdoing  but worried that he'd end up adding to the list. "Listen, After both of those incidents SoonHee still, despite my advice, let you back in. Her hearts badly hurt and the string she's using to hold on to you is very thin. If you hurt her again there no way she'll probably shut you out forever." Jonghyun sat up "You're supposed to be helping me Hyung, not scare me." "I am helping you. I know something you don't and I know where SoonHee stands right now. So you're gonna have to be honest with her, and Aron." Jonghyun gulped "What am I suppose to do? Choose between the two of them? Onew Aron is my girlfriend, she's been by my side supporting me even before I met SoonHee. I love her!" "If you're so sure you love one girl then why are you here trying to figure out your feelings for another?" Onew rose to his feet as his question was met with expected silence. "It's late and I want both of us to get some sleep so I'll answer your question simply." Jonghyun followed him to the door and leaned against the door as he gathered his words "I knew I liked Sori when I couldn't stand being just a friend to her anymore. And I knew I loved her when I couldn't stand the fact that she wasn't mine." Jonghyun stared at him for moment, taking in his words. "Give yourself time to think Jonghyun. You can't solve this in one night." Onew patted his shoulder and Jonghyun nodded "Goodnight."
