Hey! I'm so sorry I can't make it tonight... Kevin just asked me out and I couldn't say no! Another time? I'll make up for it, I promise!!!

Love you,

Cass xx

'Great... now I'm sitting here alone in a bar in the middle of LA', you think, as you turn to the bartender to order another drink. Your look wanders across the room. There are couples everywhere, ugh... You keep looking around, when suddenly something attracts your attention. A beautiful blonde woman, who's sitting across the room. She looks up and smiles at you, you return the gesture as you turn back around to face the bartender again, asking for another drink. Your fingertips slowly tapping on your glass, you stare into the distance, making the lamps around you blur into glowing balls of light. You stay like this for what feels like eternity when something brings you back to reality, snapping you out of your daydream. You feel a warm hand laying on your back and turn around only to look into the eyes of that beautiful woman from before.

"Oh, hello there, lovely lady!", the blonde said, grinning at you. She had a deep and mellow, almost calming voice. You felt your cheeks lightly blushing, a tingling sensation slowly spreading through your body. "Hello yourself", you manage to say, being somewhat overwhelmed by that beautiful woman calling you 'lovely'. Her smile widens as she sees you blushing. "So, what brings you here tonight?", she asks. "Well, I wanted to meet up with a friend, but she just deserted me for someone else... some guy she met on a party.", you say with a slight hint of annoyance. "Ouch", the woman answers. "So, you're by yourself now, huh?" "Yep", you say, shrugging your shoulders. "I'm Sarah, by the way", the blonde woman says, biting down on her bottom lip. "Would you mind, if I keep you company?"

"Sarah? What a beautiful name", you say, "I would love for you to keep me company! I'm (y/n)", you smile and so does she. "Thank you! Would you like to have another drink?", she asks. "Anything with Tequila should be fine", you answer, winking at her. Sarah begins to laugh. "Oh, I like you already, Miss (y/n)" She turns to the bartender "Keep these coming Mister Man" she says, grinning and turns back to you.

For a moment you get lost in her eyes. Her dark brown eyes. You glance around her face and notice that Sarah's grin turned into a toothy smile. "It's impolite to stare at people, you know?"

"How could one not stare at someone so beautiful?", you reply, looking her deep in the eyes.

-Wow, did I really just say that? - you think to yourself. The alcohol must have started to get in your head. Usually you're not this confident.

Sarah's cheeks start to redden. "Wow, you are too sweet Miss (y/n)", she says, softly laying her hand on yours. "Tell me something about yourself"

"Well, I just moved here a couple of months ago, after I finished my studies, because I got a job at an institute for scientific research. Umm... I love tequila, obviously", you both start to laugh, "and oh, I love playing the piano and that's about all I can think of right now, sooo... your turn!"

The blonde looked at you in confusion. "What? No, no, no, wait. Scientific research? Wow! What did you study?" she asks.

"umm, psychology. Both clinical and forensic." - "Holy shit!", Sarah says "so, can you like look at people and you know things about them?"

"Well I'm not Sherlock Holmes, if that's what you're getting at", Sarah starts to laugh, "but I'm good at observing people... or at least I like to think so."

"Is that so?", the blonde leans towards you and looks you deep in the eyes. "What did you observe about me? - Read me, Sherlock." Her voice was deep and mellow.

"Hm, let's see", You say as you lean in closer, resting your head in your hand, letting your eyes wander from her eyes, to her lips back to her eyes. At this point it was rather clear that she was having a go on you, so you took your chance.

"Well, Miss Sarah, you keep biting your lip, which is a clear indication of non-verbal communication. It tells me you're either lying or you're attracted to me... and since you haven't really said much, but asked a lot of questions, I'm guessing the latter."

Sarah's eyes widened, she didn't seem to expect that answer. But her facial expression quickly relaxed and turned into a suggesting smirk. "I have a thing for smart women, you know?" The blonde says and winks at you.
