Nicole

I sat down at our usual table while waiting for Violet to get here. I received a text from her saying that she had something important to tell me. I wonder what kind of gossip she has for me today. Finally, after 5 more minutes of waiting, the door opened and Violet walked in. She had a flushed look on her face like she's seen a ghost. Well actually, she looks like a ghost herself. "Hey Rose."

"No offense, but you look like shit."

"Gee thanks, none taken." Sarcasm noted. "So what's up?" After I asked, she started telling me about Forest and what happened in her dorm room. I'm actually quite surprised. Kai doesn't seem like the kind of guy to start off a serious conversation. He truly is unpredictable. "So what did you do after he left?"

"Well, I talked to Ruby for a little while. She wanted to know what happened too, but I decided to let her find out later on instead since she doesn't exactly give the best advice about relationships."

"What makes you think that I'm qualified to give advice on love?"

"Because of all the shit that happened between you and-" I cut her off.  "Ok! I got it. We don't speak of that." We really don't have to get into that right now. "Sorry Rose, but I really need some advice right now."

"All I can tell you now is to wait it out. If he really feels something for you then he won't take long to react."

"But what if he doesn't really like me and he ends up going after her?"

      "You mean Alina?"

"Don't say her name!" I honestly forgot that we weren't supposed to say her name. I mean I don't get what the big deal is because she's a year older than us and she's also a bit of a snob. "I honestly think you have nothing to worry about. She isn't all that interested in anyone below her. Then again, Kai is a Brigader and is taller than your average 14-year-old."

"That's not helping!" Whoops, I over thought it. "Sorry. Look, let's just enjoy a nice brunch and talk about some of the bigger stuff that's going on, like TNT! Are you ready to beat the NightWalkers once and for all?" Ah yes, the NightWalkers. Those guys are our biggest rivals and last year, we tied for first place with them. They're also the scariest team around since they come from Warrior Clan Academy, or NCA for short. "Hell yeah! I want to see the looks on their faces when we beat them! Especially Cora."

"You two especially have been rivals since you first met."

"Yeah, like you and Lori are any different." We both started laughing at the obvious statements. This is the only time of the week when I can just relax and be myself instead of training non-stop and worrying about being the strongest to represent both NWA and the Brigaders, not to mention my school work as well. Harry's is my get away from the world and it's even better to share it with one of your best friends.  "If you happen to see Ruby on the way back to your dorm or in general, don't tell her that I talked to you about all this. The last thing I need is for her to yell at me all night for not telling her first." I nodded and we began to eat our meals while laughing about stupid things that have happened to us or someone else. We finished our meals and walked back to the academy and towards the girl's dorm building before going our separate ways.

When I made my way back to my dorm, I noticed from across the hallway a letter was stuck in the door and the frame. I walked up to it and pulled it out of the frame. I read the envelope and found that it was addressed to "The Brigaders". I started thinking that it might've been from the academy, but it couldn't be because they usually email letters like this to us. I immediately noticed that the letter itself was black, as well as the envelope, and the letters written inside were in white. I read the letter.

Brigaders,
If you guys think you're gonna win TNT, then you're wrong! It's time for the reign of the Night Walkers! We can't wait to kick your asses in 6 weeks. We suggest you watch your backs.
-The Night Walkers

It seems to me as if they want to play a game. Fine, I'll play.  And I won't lose.
