POV: Natsu

Another surge of lightning passed through me as I gave a small whimper. I’m getting too used to these attacks that in a few hours I swear I won’t even be affected, not even a tiny bit, by any type of electricity. My body is adapting to it too much it isn’t even funny.

“How do we kill this son of a b*tch, he isn’t even screaming anymore. Look at his heart rate, it’s stronger than ever.”

“From what I’ve heard, one of you is a wanna-be medic and the other is a trainee soldier who’s supposed to be working as a palace guard right now,” I said aloud, not wanting them to miss a single word.

“That’s none of your business, pretty boy. Your girlfriend should be worried sick about you now.”

“I don’t have a girlfriend, baka.”

“Sure you don’t. The blonde chick you were always with before we never saw her with you again.”

“What do you know about her?”

“That you obviously care about her.”

“Answer the question properly, moron.”

“I don’t know anything. And if I do, you really expect me to tell a petty little prisoner? Ha ha, sadly I don’t tell prisoners anything they might use against me."

I smirked and gave them a small glare.

Once they turned back, I pulled on the chains. Igneel taught me hand-to-hand combat as well. I don't need some magic just yet. Softly, I knocked on the glass, loud enough for me to hear but not for them.

The glass was thick, as the sound was barely even hearable. Or was there even a sound?

(A/N: lol idk hahahaha wut)

The two supposed idiots-- Do I call them idiots too much? --who were supposed to be watching me had started to sit down and drink coffee, reading the newspaper while doing so.

The metal door near them burst open, sending both of them into a frenzy. There stood someone in a black cape. Dark crystals, or maybe dark ice surrounded both of  the men's bodies, leaving them paralyzed and maybe even unable to breathe.

"Natsu, get out of there."

"Nuella? How did you get here?"

"Long story. Just get out."

"Then help me."

"Can't you get out on your own?"

"If I could then wouldn't have I already gotten out a long time ago?"

"Oh yeah." Nuella murmured.

As she tried to force the glass window to break, Nuella burst out laughing and stopped her attempt.

"What are you laughing at?"

"The fact that I was actually more stupid than you."

She continued freezing the glass and after some time made it brittle enough for it to burst. Both of us walked quietly around the building, until we heard Erza.

Her screams were loud, and it was obviously not the Erza I knew. The Erza I knew would have never screamed like that.

I was abou to run towards the room she was in, but Nuella put her arm in front of me.

"I'll go instead. Stay here and make sure no one else gets in the room. Okay?"

"But--"

"Just shut up."
