Dear Raphael,

I doubt you will even open this as I have only hurt you and our family from the day I crawled out of that grave. I want to say goodbye anyway, even if you don't see it. I want you to know...your letter was the last one I will write tonight. You are my last goodbye.

Raphael I saw the pain...that flashed in your eyes when I ran for my life, when you ordered my death. Well dear friend I will not let you suffer so I shall do you this one good deed.

I have asked all the rest to forget me...but not you. I want you to remember because for some fucked up reason you saw me differently. You looked at me as if I was more beautiful then before. You made me feel like my heart could still skip a beat. So please, I know I should ask no favour of you but, remember me.

You will be my last thought Raphael. Those beautiful eyes and that once in a life time smile. I'm sorry I ruined so many of those suits of yours but at least it's another memory.

Thank you for saving me and although I see myself as an abomination your kind...our kind is worth protecting and so that is why I must go. I must greet death like an old friend and maybe someday if you I will see you again.

I'm sorry...I have to go and leave this short because if I continue to write I know I won't be able to do it. Before I leave Raph, know this as the truth, I love you and ALWAYS will...

Goodbye.

SIMON POV:
Simon finished the letter with shaky hands and tried to force in into an envelop. He lifted it and began to burn it on a life candle near by. Knowing the fire would give the letter to Raphael. Once it had fully burned Simon stood and began to walk out of his flat and to the roof.

RAPHAEL POV:

Raphael sat at his desk doing paper work, witch seemed like the only thing he did these days, when a crumpled letter landed on his desk the left over smell of burning filling the air. Raphael stared at it for a while knowing the handwriting all to well. He scrunched up his face and stood the letter tight in his hand. Raphael went to the large fire burning in his office and as he went to throw the letter in his phone buzzed multiple times.

GINGERBITCH(CLARY): Do you know where Simon is?!

DANGEROUSBEAUTY (IZZY): Did you get a letter? I don't know what to do Raph...

ARROWBOY (ALEC): Magnus and Izzy are crying. I'm going to try and find him...read the letter.
WARLOCKTWIT (MAGNUS): Dear God...I think Simon is going to die tonight.

At the last text Raphael's stomach turned and he looked at the letter in his hand before tearing it open like a fresh bag of blood to a fledgling. He read it and before he could even reach the end the letter slipped out of his grasp before he tore his way to the door.

SIMON'S POV:

Simon sat on the ledge to his building and watch the city go by. That's when he hear it, a large bang as the roof door slammed open. Simon didn't move, he knew exactly who it was.

"Why are you here?" Simon spoke his tone so soft and quite Raphael would not have heard it if he had been human.

"How many times do I have to tell you that jumping off a good won't kill a vampire?" Raphael moved closer but froze when he saw Simon holding something.

Simon chuckled at his kings frozen stance. He glanced between the stake in his hand and the man he loved so dearly. "I know jumping won't kill me but this will." He waved the stake a little before placing it back to his heart and looking down to the streets of New York. "Its beautiful isn't?" Simon spoke again.

Raphael had regained his normal stance and moved to the ledge swinging his legs over the edge and taken a similar pose to Simon. "I can think of more beautiful things." Simon smiled but Raphael continued. "Your friends are worried fledgling...You should go home."

Simon laughed bitterly. "I don't have a home and they will go on. I won't keep fighting if there us no need to." Simon kept his eyes on a couple below them who were arguing.

Raphael looked at the couple and then at Simon before speaking again. "You're acting like a child." Simon was shocked by Raphael's sudden movement but by the time he looked up he was gone. Raphael was not gone for long but returned with what look like the end of a broken broom stick clutched in his hand.

Raphael sat closer to Simon this time and Simon just stares. Raphael made eye contact and Simon could barely take now beautiful he looked but the moment was cut short.

"If you go...I go too." Raphael placed the stake to his heart and closed his eyes.

"Why? There is no point in us both dying tonight?" Simon's eyes were wide and staring right at the stake in Raphael's hands debating if he could rare it away from him.

"Because I read your stupid letter Simon!" His eyes burst open and liked right at Simon with more passion then before. Simon almost flinched but then realised that there was also fear hiding behind those strong eyes.

Simon let one hand fall from the stake and he reached out to touch Raphael who at first flinched away but soon leaned into the gentle hand on his cheek. Raphael felt s wet drip roll down his face and before he could stop he was crying into Simon's arms. Speaking words of truth and pain.

"Everyone always leaves me. I always fuck up or push hem away! Please Simon I can't take it anymore. You have taken s broken old man and made him feel alive. I know that it's too much to ask, I know you think your a monster but...I love you! Just...stay. Please." Simon had let go of the stake and wrapped his arms around Raphael.

Raphael lifted his head a little just enough for Simon's lips to collide with his. They held each other for a while longer before Raphael stood whipping away the remaining tears. Stretching one hand out to Simon and speaking so softy, it was unheard of for Raphael to do so. "I'm the one person you never have to say goodbye to."

Simon glanced at the discarded stakes before slowly standing and taking Raphael's hand.
