chapter 1

Antonio's eyes shot open as his alarm rang loudly beside his bed. He slung his arm over and pressed snooze. He  slowly untangled himself from his sheets and began to get ready for work. Antonio sat in his car silently and just sat back and put his hands on his face to wipe the sleep out of his eyes. As he walked into the district he slowly climbed the stairs to the intelligence unit,which was run by hank voight. He walked into the room with everyone already busy at work however there was a certain happiness in the room, which was wierd since they investigated murders,but he couldn't find the source. Voight called him into his office which is usually never good.

"Hey Antonio just wanted to let you know we're getting a new member to our team she should be here in a few minutes" voight said

"What's her name"

"Well....."
Voight's phone vibrated....

"Your about to meet her...I think you'll like her"

Antonio with a puzzled look on his face began to walk out of his office when voight stopped him

"Hey walk with me for a minute"

Antonio now more suspicious than ever had a knot in his gut especially now that everyone had stopped what they were doing and was staring at them. Then they all strangely began to walk down the stairs then voight turned to him and said
"Follow me"
As they walked toward the stairs Antonio felt like he was gonna vomit. As they rounded the corner he saw all of his friends and what seemed to be like everyone in the district lined up and as voight led him to the end of the line a woman stepped out wearing a marine uniform and a smile. The woman excitedly said

"Hey bro"

Antonio ran and picked her up and twirled her in his arms. With tears of joy in his eyes he choked out the words

"Hey sis"

This was Antonio's little sister who has been deployed for three years in the marines and was finally home. Everyone gathered around congratulating them.  After almost everyone had cleared the spot around Antonio and his sister were Jay walked up to them and bluntly said

"Arent you gonna introduce us"

Antonio and his sister both chuckled. Well everyone this is my sister Elizabeth but we all call her liz and liz this is jay halstead,Adam Ruzec, Alvin olinsky, Erin lindsay, kevin Atwater, and this is my Sargent voight.liz politely said

"Nice to meet you....and me and your Sargent have already met."

Antonio looked puzzled. Voight looked at everyone

"Everyone meet our new memeber of the intelligence unit."

Antonio was shocked by what voight had just said as he looked down at his little sister she jumped up and wrapped herself around his heck.

"But before we go to work srgt. Voight gave us the day off so we can catch up and I havent gone to see gabby yet.I called chief boden and they are gonna help me suprise her and wanted you to help to." Liz said excitedly.

Antonio thanked voight and they both headed to the car. They excitedly talked about how they are gonna suprise her and about liz working with him. As they arrived they met chief at the door but gabby was right inside in the hall so chief grabbed a large black duffle bag and said

"This is the only way we're gonna get u in ...so hop in."

Liz stepped into the bag and as they walked in antonio and chief walked by gabby and got Antonio to distract her so liz and chief could sneak into the conference room as liz stepped out of the bag chief turned to liz and said

" you know something your light as a feather"

Liz chuckled and said "thanks".

she  stood up and walked into the storage closet in the front of the conference room and fixed her uniform. Meanwhile Antonio and gabby stepped into the kitchen where everyone was getting a plate or watching TV. The next step in liz's plan was about to unfold. Chief walked into the kitchen and acted angrily and yelled

"Everyone in the conference room now!!"

Everyone slowly and nervously walked into the conference room. As everyone was seated Antonio walked to the front of the room with chief. Gabby was now very confused and afraid which is very unusual for her. Chief yelled again but this time at gabby

"Gabriela Dawson get yourself up here"

Gabby nervously walked to the front of the room. Chief said

" gabby I want you to tell everybody about what your sister does and where she is"

Gabby turned to chief confused and slowly began to explain about her sister.

"Well my sister has been deployed for three years in the marines and.....

As she was interrupted by hands covering her eyes she grabbed the hands and was turned around by this person and as the hands were moved away she saw her baby sister standing there with a big smile. Gabby wrapped herself around liz and wouldnt let go. Liz laughed and said

"Gabby...(gasping for air jokingly)....I need air."

Gabby let go and liz now saw the tears of happiness streaming down her face. As they hugged once more Antonio joined them as everyone clapped. Gabby began to intrude everyone.

"Liz this is kelly severide, stella kid, Christopher herman, Joe Cruz, mouch,Tony, sylvie brett, capp, matthew Casey, and Otis. Everyone this us liz."

Something wierd happened to liz when gabby said the name Otis and she saw him. She felt a warm feeling inside something she hadn't felt in a very long time. But she put that feeling aside for now. All she wanted to do was spend this day with her brother and sister. Finally liz was home and this is what she wanted for three years and now she has everything she wants including a new job. But she was nervous about her job but she new that Antonio and gabby would be there every step of the way.
