It felt like lightning to wake up. A faint voice said something, it kept getting more clear. I can feel my heart pumping again, my lungs expanding and compressing. I was once again alive but my body felt too heavy move.

I was able to hear soft whispers, but my ears were still filled with water. I tried to open up my eyes to see who it was, but they were very heavy. I coughed up water, it was still very hard to breathe. A sigh of relief was heard, from a person above me. Then he muttered under his breath "Mom's gonna kill me when she finds out I was using magic in public." I flinched, magic?

I was able to open my eyelids a little. I was able to vaguely get a glimpse of his face, orange hair? I slipped in and out of consciousness until I went entirely out.

I woke up in the hospital. There was a nurse who was hovering over me. I heard her footsteps shuffle somewhere. "Patient 119 is awake!" the nurse yelled out making my ears ring a bit. She shuffled back towards me "Oliver, how are you feeling?" she asked with a stern look. I looked at her, she had dark circles under her eyes, her skin was a soft ivory, and her eyes were a nice red hazel. I responded "Dead but alive."

The nurse seemed to not pick up on the joke, she huffed "Well, you're definitely alive. Your heart rate shows it. Anyway, I'll go let your grandmother in." her shoes scuffing as she walked towards the door. "Can I ask you something?" I halfly stuttered. She turned around to face me and nodded. "Do you know how I got here or what happened, Ms.." She took a deep breath as if she was recalling something. Then she looked at her clipboard.

"Its Ms. Nina. Moreover, according to the person who brought you here, he said you had drowned, but he didn't have a phone to call the emergency room. So they had to do CPR..." Ms. Nina trailed off, now going through the papers on her clipboard. She looked like she was in deep thought, I didn't want to disturb her, so I sat quietly. The hazel eyed women began to whisper something, but it was too low to hear.

Then it fell silent again. She jerked her head up and yelled: "I got it!" Which almost made me jump out of the hospital bed. "Sorry, " Ms. Nina apologized. "I remember his name now, it was Kichi. Such a weird name, he must be a foreigner." she mumbled that last part under her breath.

My heart skipped a beat when I heard his name. Kichi, so that's his name. "Oliver I'm going to get your grandmother before she thinks something is really wrong," she said. I nodded as she left the room. I was unreasonably tired. I laid back in the hospital bed and drifted off.

It's dark, I can't see a thing. This dark vacuum is suffocating like something heavy is covering my lungs. It's cold and I'm soaked.

My shivering has suddenly stopped. There is a warmth coming from somewhere, but where. How do I move in this dark, frigid space?

"Oliver, " A voice? It's faint but I can hear it.

The warmth is getting closer I can feel it. It's not dark anymore and definitely not cold.

My lungs started moving again. "Oliver, " I can hear my name, It's clear now.

I opened my eyes and take a deep breath. I'm still in the hospital.
