"Sara look whos looking at you" Rhylee says taking her arm into Saras arm as they were leaving from their lockers to their next class that started in five minutes. Sara turned her head wondering who could be looking at her, she rolled her eyes noticing who it was. It was just her bestfriend Dylan O'Brien who just happened to look their way.
"Oh please, he's nobody special"
"Actually I would have to disagree, he is a snack, just look at him who wouldn't want to be with that"
"Uh me, now come on we will be late" Sara says dragging Rhylee along with her to class. The truth was Sara had a HUGE crush on Dylan but didn't want to admit it because she kept it secret for so long and she knew everyone had a crush on him in school. Thats all the girls would talk about is how cute he was and how lucky Sara was for always hanging out with him.
Sara and Dylan were friends since they were born they grew up together and told each other everything. Dylan would also sleep over and once people heard of this they suddenly assumed that they were sleeping together but Dylan never said anything while Sara who would just smile and kindly say 'Oh no we are just really close friends'
Once they got into class Rhylee turned to face Sara with a huge smile on her face. "Why are you staring at me like that?"
"I just had the greatest idea"
"And whats that?" Sara says a little scared.
"So your birthday is this Saturday right?"
"Aw you remembered"
"Of course what kind of friend would I be if I didn't"
Sara laughed jokingly saying "A horrible one!"
"Of course, but anyway so since you told me your family is going anyway this weekend I think you should throw a weekend party!"
"I don't think I should"
"Aw come on and you can invite Dylan, just the three of us so you can hook me up with him" She winked throwing her hair behind her shoulder.
Sara loved the idea of just the weekend being with Dylan but ONLY Dylan. "Nah, my parents wouldn't like that"
Rhylee laughed slapping her desk. "Bitch, you funny! Come on you know damn well your parents wouldn't mind. How many times has Dylan slept over in the same bed as you" She gave her look that read 'I didn't sleep with him' bullshit look. Sara caught on and rolled her eyes getting serious. "I fucking told you I never slept with him."
"I know, I'm joking but forreal though you said so yourself that you don't like him, this would be perfect"
"Let me think about it okay?"
"Fine you have the rest of the day to think about it" Their teacher walked in as soon as the bell rang and started to lecture the class about their test that was Friday. While he rambled Sara took out her notebook and began to daydream and think about what Rhylee said. She wished she wasn't right about her parents, sure they didn't care they were leaving for a cruse on their own daughters birthday like who does that?
It doesn't even bother Sara anymore, they always do this and when they get back they always give her the biggest and most expensive gift like last year they bought her a car. It's paid off so she doesn't have to pay for nothing but the gas. But most of the time her parents are the ones to pay for that. She doesn't have to do anything but drive it.
As nice as it was there is still a part of her that wished her parents were normal but they never will and she knew she could never do anything about it and just accept it and move on. She really wanted it to be just her and Dylan because this would be the perfect chance to tell him how she really felt about him.
