Chapter 6

Freedom.

I walked further and further away from the place which I once was forced to call home. I have just escaped hell.

I walked with my head held my head high. The wind blew through my hair. I felt free.

I walked for hours soon reaching an unfamiliar area. It was an enclosed circular neighbourhood. A park was in the centre with a large green field surrounding it. Beautiful flowers and large trees stood tall all over the area.

In a not-so-far distance was a beach. Approaching I noticed the sand beneath my feet. I could ear the water crashing into the large rocks and seagulls shoring in the bright blue cloudless sky. People wore bathing suits as they enjoyed their time at the beach. I noticed a sign which read: Taylor Creek Beach.

In the far distance stood an abandoned cave I made my way toward it.

the cave had just enough light to see through it but, not enough to reveal all of its secrets. I could hear dripping water from inside it and the smell of ancient age. The stalagmites and stalactites looked like huge teeth, the stains upon it looked like fired blood. The howling wind bowling through the dark cave wasn't helping my bravery. I held my suitcase tighter.

My curiosity got the better if me so, further did I enter the cave ...
