In the lit hallway, stood a giraffe. Well, it was actually a girl, a really tall girl. She had a camo green jacket that ended at her knees, her legs were covered in black leggings, and her face was just beautiful. Jihyo dropped the lamp, making both of the girls jump as it crashed into the ground.

“woah! you alright there miss?” Her voice was soft, not like Mina's,and she wore a smile on her face.

“Yeah, I'm okay, thanks.” Jihyo smiled back at her while she grabbed the lamp, setting it aside. The tall girl looked inside, and then looked at the apartment door. Her face showed confusion.

“Oh, if you don't mind me asking, what are you doing in my apartment?” She trailed off, then she looked at the door. “Oh! This is apartment five, I'm at six, my bad!” She exclaimed before bowing multiple times before turning around causing Jihyo to grab her wrist. Jihyo felt bad for her, she looked really tired. So,  she offered the unknown girl to come in her house.

“Oh! Wait! Uh- not in the kidnapping creepy way I meant in a–”

“Motherly way?”

“Oh- Uh, heh, yeah.”
The tall girl smiled before shaking her head.

“I'm terribly sorry but I can't, I have an early day tomorrow. But, I can give you my name. ” She smiled before announcing that she was Chou Tzuyu. They chatted for a bit, then they said their goodbyes. After Jihyo closed her door she leaned on it, a smile was plastered on her face. That is, until she saw the broken lamp. She cleaned it up and head for bed.

The next morning Jihyo woke up to the loud alarm on her phone. She sat up slowly and rubbed her eyes, unplugging her phone. Her feet touched the cold  wood floor as she got off of the bed, stretching while doing so. She scratched her messy brown hair and got up, getting ready.

She was nervous, or excited? Maybe both, she wasn't sure. Today was the day she'd go to her new highschool, and that scared her. What if she got bullied? What if she stumbled and spilt something at the principal and that would make the principal hate her for ever? What if— her thoughts were interrupted by the ring of her doorbell.

Jihyo was already in her uniform, she was just fixing up the tie. When she opened the door, there she was again, the giraffe.

“Good morning~!” She charmed before bowing, her keys clanging together. Jihyo chuckled at the taller one as she welcomed her in.

“What are you doing here?? Shouldn't you be at your school?” Tzuyu shook her head as Jihyo wagged her finger at her.

“Actually, I remembered your name. Park Jihyo, we have the same schedule! I know that because I have to court you around today.” She smiled sincerely before grabbing Jihyo's empty Backpack and running off into the hallway of the apartment. Jihyo whined before grabbing her supplies and also heading out the door, making sure to lock it.

They both got in Tzuyu's car, which was strange since she seemed so young to even be driving. She realized that it was being driven by a chauffeur. The foreigner hummed softly as trees and streets went by the window. Suddenly the car screeched, indicating it was time to get out. As the girls stepped out of the car, Jihyo was shot with amazement.

She stood infront of two iron gates, opened for students. Inside was a path of cement, carved in patterns. It parted left and right when a fountain spouted water that shone brightly. There were two more fountains, and the rest of the ground was luscious green grass. The school looked like it touched the sky, and the walls were brick, whilst having quartz pillars seemingly holding the place together. Left and right kids were gathered in groups, some were just females, some were just males, and some were mixed.

She gulped, worrying if she would be ostracized from a social life if she didn't find a group. But Tzuyu grabbed her wrist and pulled her to a group that had five girls so far, and adding us, made it seven.

“Hey, idiots. This is Jihyo, a new student.” Tzuyu's voice was cold, it didn't go unnoticed by Jihyo. Everyone introduced themselves, there was Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Sana, Dahyun and Chaeyoung. She thought it was irregular seeing as Tzuyu was warm and nice with her, but she acted cold and dull around her friends. But her mind went numb as she looked around and noticed two other girls coming their way.

' Mina and Momo, crap.' Jihyo bit her bottom lip hard as she saw the couple walk over to them, students had waved at them and blew kisses at them. Maybe they were in the popular crowd. Jihyo snapped out of her daze when she realized they had already joined them. She felt a warm hand land on her shoulder, when she looked up, she saw Momo smiling and tilting her head, in a concerned look.

“Jihyo, are you alright?” The comment made the younger girl blush a bit, before coughing and stuttering in reply.

“Uh— y-yeah! J-just, uh, you know, nervous.” She looked at Tzuyu's shoes, not wanting to make eye contact with the peach. The older girl smiled before patting Jihyo on the back and reassuring her everything was going to be okay. When she finally looked up, she saw Mina and Momo kiss quickly before the bell rang. She felt a pang against her chest as she started to go into the school. Today was definitely going to be fun. Very. Fun.

The rest of the morning was just tour guides, which Jihyo didn't really listen to. All she was thinking about was how beautiful Tzuyu was, how tall she was, how elegant her steps were, how pink her lips were. But the lunch bell caught her attention, also the wave of students running out of specific rooms to get to the cafeteria.

Tzuyu and Jihyo sat by Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Mina. Dahyun and Chaeyoung were year threes, Mina was a year four, and Tzuyu was a year two. Jihyo was a year four, just like Mina. As they ate, everyone noticed how gloomy Mina was, she picked at her food, with a pout on her face.

“Mina-yah! Why so gloomy? Don't tell me it's because you and Momo have different schedules huh?” Chaeyoung groaned as Mina nodded. For a split second Jihyo knew she saw the girl death glare at her for a millisecond before going back to pouting.

After lunch, the girls put away their trays. Jihyo had walked with Mina to their class, between them was the unbearable awkward silence. Jihyo was about to open the door, when she felt a cold grip around her shoulder. She felt her back pound against the wall beside the door, and wind slid by her face as someone threw their fist beside her head.

“Open your eyes scaredy.” The voice was familiar, raspy, and once Jihyo opened her eyes, she saw the same snake like smirk before.
