Trigger warnings: Mentions of drugs and murder.

"Joj-" He quickly cuts you off. "Y/n, I don't wanna hear it." He says as he was packing up some things. And by things you mean knives and guns. "We don't need any money. We can make this work." You nod and give him a small smile. He shakes his head and sighs. "I'll be back tomorrow." He kisses your temple. "I love you." You say quickly as he approaches the front door. "Be care-" and with that he slams the door. Your heart sunk. It was everyday with him. Just about every night he would leave to get money. It was all drug money. And you feared for his life. But he didn't seem to care. He did this for you. And you felt horrible. You have told him over and over again that you would love him, even without all the money. But he doesn't listen. Never. That man just wanted to chase paper.
You sat there and stayed up all night, waiting for him. You couldn't go to bed knowing that he could get in trouble or get hurt.
He came back around 10 pm the next day. You stayed by the phone the whole time. So when he got home you quickly jumped up and hugged him. He hugged you back lightly. "I was worried." You say and he ignored you, setting a duffel bag down. "Joj." You whisper. He sighs softly. "Y/n please leave me alone." Your heart sunk. "What? Why?" You ask and look up at him. "Because I haven't slept. I'm tired. I'm in pain. I just want to go to bed." He mumbles. "You don't think I am? I waited for you all night and all day." You say. "You knew I was going to come back." He sighs and walks to the bedroom, hiding the duffel bag. "I didn't." You say and sigh. "You didn't? I always do."
"You're so ignorant." You say and sigh, walking away. "Y/n! Don't act like that! I don't wanna argue with you." He says softly, shaking his head as he pulls out the money and starts counting.
You go upstairs and decide to lay down. So you strip down and put on one of Joji's shirts. It smelled like him. And honestly, that smell brought you peace and comfort. After about an hour of sleeping you feel the bed sink down and you smile softly. Even though you were angry at him, it made you happy to know that he was staying home tonight. With you. He puts his arm around you and moves the hair away from your face.
"Are you awake?" He asks quietly and you nod. "Listen, I don't wanna argue with you. I don't like knowing you're mad at me, love." He says and holds your hand tightly. "I can't just drop out of this drug business or whatever you want to call it." He shrugs. "It's gonna take a lot of time and I might get severely hurt." He sighs softly. "But I know how unhappy you get once I leave. And I know you're scared about what I get myself into when I'm not here. But just know that I do this for us. I want you to have these nice things. You deserve a big house, a lot of clothes and jewelry, and a husband who loves you oh so much." He says with a light chuckle and kisses your neck. You giggle and the somewhat tickling feeling. "Maybe, but that doesn't mean that you need to put yourself at risk. Like I said before. I would still love you without the money." He kisses you quickly and bites his lip. "I love you." He says and rubs your hand with his thumb. "I love you too." You whisper and close your eyes again, feeling drowsy. He gets into a more comfortable position and holds you tightly, closing his eyes also.
    Joji's point of view

I wake up to the sound of something clicking. I rub my eyes and grumble. "Y/n?" I ask and turn around, seeing a gun pointed to my head in the soft moonlight. My eyes go wide and I slowly sit up. I look at the person to try and get a glimpse of what they look like but they're wearing a mask. Then it gets me, is y/n still here? I look over to my left and see her still peacefully sleeping. That's when I feel a man putting a bag over my head and I start kicking like crazy. Now I hear her screaming. God, I just wanted this to be over with. I pull my arms up and try to take the bag off of my head. My chest begins to start to get heavy and tight. I start seeing black dots everywhere, almost clouding up my whole vision.
I hear two gun shots and the bag released off of me. My eyes go wide and I start coughing. I slowly look over and see y/n sitting at the corner of the room, trembling with a gun in her hand. I quickly run over to her, despite feeling dizzy and hug her tightly. "I can't believe I did that." She cries out. "Baby, you saved me. You didn't do anything wrong. They were gonna hurt us." I try to explain to her. But she's probably still too paranoid to even care about anything I'm saying. "I wanna leave." She whispers and she continuously wipes off her tears. "We can leave." I nod and stand up, packing us some clothes. "Do you want to go to a nice hotel?" I ask and she shrugs. "Let's get out of the state. I don't wanna be in New York." She sighs and finally puts down the gun. I put on a pair of pants and shirt and carry the suitcases outside for the butler to take them out to the car. I walk back up and pick up y/n and carry her to the car, it was a bit warm so her having on just my t-shirt wasn't too bad. I set her in the back so she can lay down and I walk over to the drivers side. "Get you some sleep, baby." I say and turn to look at her, handing her a blanket that was already in the car.
"Thank you. For saving me." I say and give her a light smile, trying to make her feel like she did do something right. Because she did. She did what she had to in the moment. I hear her sniffle and my heart breaks. I didn't want her to be sad or hurt in anyway. My stupid decisions almost got me and her killed today. Her death and my death would have been on my hands. Mine. My already dirty hands from the previous murders I had to commit. I couldn't stop.
