This is something I am working on but like a sentence every few months so. *shrugs* It technically counts as incomplete. This is a prompt that my friend gave my English class like a year ago so...yeah here you go. Enjoy.
Tattoo Prompt
How is this possible? I thought to myself as I stared at the tattoo of a lightning bolt on my ankle. My gaze then moved to the faded fish on my wrist.
"This has to be a mistake or a fluke or something..." I whispered to myself, my eyebrows knitting together in confusion.
I already had a soulmate, Gloria. Glory had died years ago when we were teenagers. You only got one soulmate and mine was gone, so why oh why did another soulmate tattoo appear on my ankle? I gnawed on my lip as I stared at it. Did I even want a new soulmate? I asked myself. It had taken a long time but I had finally gotten over the death of Glory. I had been for a few years now but...was I ready for another one?
I wonder what they're like... the traitorous thought snuck its way into my mind and did well at distracting me for a good ten minutes of pondering and wondering. I had always been a quiet thinker. Quiet everything, never really needing to say much of anything. Gloria had gotten that. Gloria was loud enough for both of us, always talking about something and it's cousin. I chuckled to myself and got lost in the bittersweet memory that was Glory.
I was interrupted from my reminiscing when the bell signaled someone was at the door. I looked up to see a man not much older than her standing in front of her, he had brown eyes, dark skin and around, yet gaunt face. He was tall but hunched over in a sweatshirt as if he was trying to appear small. He seemed almost, haunted.
