I awoke to the sounds of birds chirping, waking up I didn't recognize my surroundings at all, I was somewhere I had never been before but yet it all somehow felt familiar.

I decided to understand my situation was key to my safety so I had a quick look around. To my left was a dressing table and the entrance to the bathroom, directly in front of me was a large split set of doors beside a large desk and to my right was an ornate looking wardrobe and a window.

I soon realized that only the window would give me any kind of indication as to were in the world I actually was so moving as quietly as I could I got out of the bed and walked over to the large window, looking out from the window all I could see was snow and forest stretching out across the horizon for miles, not a single piece of civilization, not a village, not even a damn shack.

I turned around hearing the door handle move, I quickly looked around for anything I could use to defend myself, my options were truly limited so I grabbed the only thing I could which was an ornamental vase filled with snow lilies.

Into the room strolled a young woman with long silver hair and from what I could see a fairly toned body, she was clearly wearing a uniform of some kind, she didn't seem too dangerous but I then noticed she had my cat Diego in her arms purring softly, I felt betrayed. she turned to face me with a smile.

"Ah your finally awake Miss Blackwood, this little guy was beginning to worry about you," she said with a wink and a smile.

"Where the hell am I exactly and who are you," I said tightening the grip on the vase.

With a smirk on her face, she began to speak whilst setting Diego down on the edge of the bed.

"Please Miss Blackwood please don't attempt to fight me, I am here for your protection and to also fulfill any of your other needs that should arise whilst you stay here at the master's residence".

I couldn't take it any more she was just like everyone else keeping me in the dark only giving me half-truths, I had enough of it all and snapped throwing the vase at her which she caught with ease in one hand, with a much less happy smile she placed it delicately down next to the door frame.

"Please Miss Blackwood, I insist you stop this childish mood swing so I can get you ready to go out and meet the master before this day is done with."

I was still in no mood to listen and was still filled with confusion and anger, so I did what at the time seemed like a good idea and lashed out swinging a slap at her but with one hand behind her back she still easily blocked my hand and took it gently within her own.

"I know you are confused but please I am not the one to explain everything to you so please select some better outside attire and join me outside this room in 5 minutes".

Without uttering another word she left the room and Diego followed her, the door shut gently behind her, it was hard to admit but she was fast and strong, I couldn't fight that woman and win so my only choice was to comply with her request.

I couldn't just sit there and with the looks of my room which was clearly high up from the view I had, I had nowhere to run to. Letting out a sigh walked over to the wardrobe beside the window and picked out a pair of jeans and a T-shirt and began to change, when I was finished I gingerly opened the bedroom door to see the woman crouched down petting Diego.

"Dam traitor cat leaving me for another woman," I said with a lighter tone.

She looked up realizing I was ready and began to walk down the corridor without saying a word, I assumed I was supposed to follow her and so I did, as we continued down large ornate corridors and winding staircases I began to realize exactly how massive this building had to be. After a while, she stopped and opened a door beckoning me to enter.
