Endlessly Infatuated

Part 4 - True loves first bite.

The bell rang to signal the beginning of the lesson but before the teacher could tell us to begin reading the door slammed open with a slightly panicked Drake entering the room with his uniform done correctly unlike yesterday, he walked to the back of the classroom with one arm behind his back whilst everyone watched intensely.

Taking one knee to come down to my height he presented me with a ludicrously large bouquet of blue peonies. All the girls gasped at seeing their Alpha doing something that wasn't for himself.

"Reina, I'm extremely sorry for my behavior last night and all of yesterday, I won't make excuses, I will, however, promise you that I can be better, I will be better towards you going forward, you are the Luna the moon goddess hand-picked for me and I will make you love me not by force but through actions and words the right way." He said with a begging look in his eyes.

I couldn't help but giggle a little at the thought of the monster from yesterday being this gentle. "You have a hard job planned out for you then as I have no intention of ever accepting this stupid mate idea Drake, though I will say I heard about your situation fro Byron so I'll at least give you a second chance at introducing yourself as yesterday was horrible, do you have any idea how scared I was?" I said with fury as I saw his face sadden, it was if he expected this all to blow over so easily.

The flowers were a lovely start but he had a long way to go.

"I understand you have lived the life of humans until now so you won't be courted the way we wolves do but as I have said I am truly sorry for my past discretions but tell me one thing at least Reina, you did feel the mate's bond like me too right, I didn't imagine it, I couldn't have, seeing you before me now I want nothing more than to spoil you and see you smile." He uttered whilst looking through desperate eyes.

I didn't really want to go into the whole mate's talk right now so I thought it best I just avoid the topic altogether.

"You know I won't accept an idiot for a partner Drake, so no more napping in class, as an apparent leader you should try to learn the most out of everyone, ruling through fear isn't going to win anybody's hearts. I understand we are both young and people make mistakes so I'm going to give you a second chance as I already said, so let's start over and I'll let our little incident yesterday go".

The entire room looked at me like some kind of magician, it seems nobody had ever dared to speak to him that way, especially since his fathers passing.

He smiled and took his seat beside me getting out his equipment, though I swear before he turned I saw a tail wagging. Miss Devear was about to speak when a woman came into the room and spoke "Sorry to interrupt Jessica but since this class has a new student the principal has decided you all need to retake your basic fitness and aptitude tests. The entire class sighed and I received quite a few dirty looks until Drake cleared his throat with a hearty growl to dismiss them all.

The woman by the door smiled "Ladies come with me and Boys you know the drill so go and get ready."

We all left our seats and went our separate ways, before leaving the room I looked back to see Drake staring at me with such a longing gaze, I couldn't help but wink to tease him a little. We were taken to a large room with no changing cubicles and I was slightly confused.

"Well don't just stand there Miss Blackwood, get stripped off and shift already."

As I heard those words I realized all the other girls were shifting into Wolves, panthers, and tigers, it was quite the menagerie of mystical creatures.

"I'm sorry Miss but I don't know how, I've never done it before," I said with disappointment.

She took me gently by the hand "Don't worry sweety, you're just a late bloomer is all. You can remain in human form for now but we will have to give you private lessons after school soon to help you learn the basics".
