~Eleanor's POV~

As soon as I got home, I checked my phone for a text from Louis, and only after several minutes did I realize that we hadn't exchanged numbers. "Crap!" I shouted to my ceiling in despair.  Now I had my whole apartment alone with no one to even text.  Charlote, no doubt, was busy texting her new boyfriend, Harry.  He was cute- I had to give her that- but honestly, what did she see in him?  At least Louis made me laugh or smile every time he said something, and he was very respectful; he didn't try to kiss me, hold my hand, or anything like that during the film.  Meanwhile, Harry and Charlote were to my right making out- talk about awkward.

"Does Harry always move this fast?" I asked Louis, as I ipeaked across his body to our friends.

"Actually, this is quite slow for him.  By this time they're normally divorced." Louis replied to me with a smile and a weird face.

"Wow." I said in amazement.  Even if Louis was joking, at least I knew that Harry was a player.  It makes it easier to comfort Charlote during the break up if I knew why they broke up.

"But don't worry- I take my time."

~Louis's POV~

It had been three weeks since I saw Eleanor last when I saw her again.  Harry had made me go to this party with him and Charlote, although I don't really understand why if all he was going to do was hang out with her.  So while he was busy showing off his hot girlfriend, I had to wander around looking for something to do.

I was making my usual round of the house when I saw Eleanor.  She was standing in the kitchen leaning on the counter watching some idiots drink endless bottles of beer.  When the group laughed, she cracked a tiny smile, but other than that she made no show of emotion.  I had nothing to do, he looked like she had nothing to do, so I decided that we should do nothing together.  "Did you know there are nine sheep for every person in New Zealand?" I whispered in her ear as I came up beside her.

"Woah!" she yelped, obviously frightened by my sick ninja skills.  "Sorry, I...I didn't see you."  Then there was that awkward silence when you don't know what to do or say.  "But wow! That's a lot of sheep!" she finally said, breaking the pause.

"Yeah I know!  I wonder what you do with nine sheep."  I replied back.

"Well, they're probably used for farming." she said after some consideration.

"Everyone in New Zealand Farms?!" I questioned her with a a look of disbelief on my face.

"No!" she said laughing at me.  "One person might have eighteen, and another have none.  So it's still a nine to one ratio."

"Ok, you're too smart for me, but I'll take your word for it." I flirtatiously responded.  "Hey, you wanna go somewhere?"

"Louis! We've only met once!" she incredulously answered.

"Oh! Not like that! Not at all.  I meant like somewhere not so loud so we can actually talk without having to shout."  She bit her lip as a sort of reply, not making eye contact.  I totally got her doubts, I mean, we had only really met once and I was asking to get her somewhere alone, but my intentions were harmless.  My trouble was to convince her.

"Yeah...I guess." she said.  "Let's go."
