~Eleanor's POV~
When I said "Let's go" to Louis, I was surprised by my actions. Where did that come from? But I didn't really have time to think about that because Louis grabbed my hand. I was holding Louis's hand. It wasn't soft, so he wasn't prissy and girly, but it wasn't rough like my father's. It was perfect.
He lead me out of the house, past Charlote and Harry kissing. Again. As we left the heated house and entered outside, I regrettednot bringing my sweater with me. "Gosh, it's cold!" I told him.
"Oh! Here," he said as he took off his jacket and slid it over my bare shoulders. It smelled like means deodorant and leather, and felt like...well, it felt like comfort.
"Thanks." I breathed to him as he was close, and I smiled like crazy. I'm sure I looked like a dork with a giddy look on my face, but at that moment I didn't care. Louis was the perfect gentlemen.
We hurried to his car to escape the freezing air, and as soon as we closer the doors he turned on the heat. While we waited for the car to get warmer, we blew on our hands and exchanged looks and giggles. When it was finally warm enough to sit comfortably in the car, Louis turned to me and said, "Well."
"Well." I said back to his smile, returning the gesture with a wide smile of my own. "Where are we going?"
"Ha. That's exactly what I was going to ask you."
"Well you are the one who invited me, so I was kind of led on to believe that you had a plan." I replied sarcastically.
"Guys never have plans," he told me. "We always wing it. That's why women are always right."
I laughed. "True, true." After a moment of silence, Louis shouted, scaring me. Gosh he loves doing that.
"I've got it! I know the perfect place to go!"
~Louis's POV~
We pulled into Kingstown Park as the clock in the car turned to midnight. "Ok," I said, turning to El. "You can open you eyes!"
She laughed. "I should've known you'd take me to a park."
"What? There is nothing wrong with going to a park when your eighteen years old! Do you see a sign saying an age limit? I think not!" I playfully defended my decision. "Come on!" I yelled as I opened my door the same time as El opened hers. We met in front of the hood of my car and I grabbed her hand again. Gosh I loved holding her hand. Focus, Louis; focus. I ran off- pulling her along with me- to the swings and hopped on the closest one, making sure there was one next to me for El. "Swing swing swing!" I shouted at the top of my lungs to the abandoned park. I heard El laugh next to me and I turned to look at her. She was already starting to swing, pumping her legs back and forth as she flew higher and higher.
"Hey! No fair! Wait for me!" I yelled at her, trying to reach her height quickly.
"Ohmigosh I love swings!" she shouted at the top of her lungs, giggling. "Watch me Louis; watch!"
"I turned just in time to see her jump out of her swing and sail into the air. However, when she neared the ground she couldn't place her feet beneath her and feel forward. "El!" I cried, abruptly stopping my swing to go help her. I ran over to where she was laying on the ground and took a look at her face. Her eyes were brimming with tears, but she was trying desperately to hold them back. I sat criss-cross-applesauce next to her and wrapped her shoulders in a sideways hug, pulling her torso close to mine to try to calm her down.
