The next day Jesy opened her eyes to see that there were eyes staring right into hers, full of admiration.
She was so unused to such a thing that she startled back. The eyes looked from left to right before closing and Jesy wondered why they did that.
"Uhhh . . . Bucks?"
Leigh's eyes opened again but slowly as if she was acting as if she had just woken up. "Oh Jesy . . . you're up early."
Jesy wanted to laugh but she felt like it was too early for that. "Why yes . . . yes I am. You were up earlier weren't you?"
"Hmm? Me?" Leigh-Anne shook her head.
"But I saw you staring intently into my eyes."
". . . probably a dream."
Jesy laughed before sitting up. Just as she suspected, it was day time. Outside was bright and sunny.
Leigh followed her lead and smiled at the world through the window. "Yay. My room isn't all dark and lonely anymore."
Jesy looked into the room again and felt that progress again. A sense of peace came with it. "Yeah but I bet it misses you being in it."
Leigh did a sad face. "Yeah well . . ." She suddenly grabbed Jesy by the arm and appeared stunned.
Jesy did not understand. "What is it?"
"This was our first sleep over! Ahhhh!"
Jesy covered her ears. Why was she so loud?
Just then someone entered Leigh's room through the window, it was two people.
Leigh-Anne seemed on the verge of happy tears while she babbled about how happy she was that she got to sleep with Jesy.
Jesy remembered that this girl wore no underwear and decided to make her move out but she got distracted by hissing at the window before she could. "Hey, would you look at that?" She got up with a smile and went to her window.
Leigh-Anne saw her mother and Sairah in her room waving their hands at her and Jesy. "Shit." She proceeded to put the covers over her head so that they wouldn't see her.
Jesy said good morning to Leigh's family at that point. "Bet you guys heard that she was over here last night."
Sairah laughed. "The first time we heard her scream we knew exactly what was going down." She had her Sairah mischievous smile on while snickering at Jesy. "Ha har!" She pointed at Jesy's face because it looked pink.
The mother smacked her behind the head so she could stop being dirty and then breathed out. "Yes I called the police and told them that we found her last night after I heard all of the noises." She peered in and saw that Leigh was sitting with covers over her head in Jesy's bed. "Oh goodness . . ." She rubbed at her forehead. "Could you please tell Leigh-Anne to come home Jesy?"
Jesy had expected Leigh to follow her to the window but apparently not. She turned to look to her bed and saw what Leigh was doing. "Bucky they can see you you know."
Sairah was laughing. The relief had nearly knocked her out when it had happened last night. She had wanted to go over to see her sister but her mother had told her to let Jesy deal with her first. Their mum seemed tired from a long day of worrying. My ass did get expelled so. "Leigh-Anne come on. Who's gonna believe that you're not under there?!"
Jesy smiled. "When I came in she'd apparently been in my bed but decided to go under so I wouldn't see."
"Are you serious?" The mother asked looking somewhat horrified. Eventually she felt Sairah press her face on her arm with laughter so she started to chuckle.
