Sevyn POV

My phone buzzed and Izzy's name showed at the top. "Fuck." I whispered. "I'll be right back." I whispered to Gabe and got up out of my seat to go answer my phone outside the theatre.

"Why you take so fuckin long to answer the phone?" Izzy said as soon as I answered.

I rolled my eyes. "Because I'm at the movies dummy. I had to come out the theatre first."

"Who you with? Better not be no nigga, I'll punch you in yo lil shit."

I twisted my face up. "Abuse? That's a no no, Israel." I shook my head even though he couldn't see it. "I'm just with my best friend." I lied.

"I thought she was up in New York."

Forgot I told him about that. "I have more than one best friend, Izzy. Anyways, what do you want? I'm missing the movie."

"I'm up in Cali right now, you should come see me for a night."

I don't know what I got myself into anymore. I thought I could do this but I can't, it's too much work, I don't have enough transferable energy for this. I need to choose one of them but it's so hard.. I love the extra attention though.

"A night?" I questioned. "How long you gonna be there for?"

He talked to a few people in the background before answering my question. "3 more days. Just come through tonight, I wanna see you shorty."

"It has to be tonight?"

"Yeah I got business in the morning and all after that. You coming through or not?"

I don't even know what to say. The risk is enticing but what am I supposed to tell Gabe? "I'll let you know by 5:30, okay. I gotta go."

"You better." He said before I hung up.

I thought to myself then shook my head and went back inside. I hate the shit I put myself in sometimes. I made my way back to my seat and sat down next to Gabe. "What I miss?"

"You did what?! Sevyn. Are you fucking dumb??" Jazmynn yelled through our FaceTime call. "You left him alone in Arizona after he came all that way to see you? Just so you can go see Izzy for a couple hours?"

I sighed. "Listen, I-"

"No, bitch! You listen, you can't gamble with Gabe's feelings like that. He trusts you so much and you've lied to him twice already. Stop."

I know I'm wrong. I already feel bad but I really wanted to see Izzy. It's only for the night. "I'm not even going to sleep tonight. It's legit a turn around trip. I'll be back in Phoenix before 5am."

"That's still not okay, what the fuck Sevyn." I could tell how disappointed Jazmynn was in me. I always played with guys feelings like this with no remorse but never did I actually have feelings in return for any of them. "I can't even speak to you right now. If Gabe calls or texts me, I'm snitching. I don't care. Bye." She said then hung up on me.

I hopped on the next flight to LA and it was only like a 45 minute flight here so now I'm just waiting for Izzy to come get me. He said he was pulling up soon so I just decided to wait at the terminal entrance. All I had with me was my purse and a jacket, since I planned on leaving just after midnight.
A blacked out Cadillac truck pulled up in front of me and out came Izzy with his arms wide. "You lookin kinda thick in those jeans, shorty." He wrapped his arms around me. My face pressed against his chest and I hugged him back. He smelled good as fuck. "I definitely missed your fine ass." He said looking down at me and tilting my head up so he could kiss me. His kiss was quick but meaningful. He let me get into the car first and then he slid in next to me.
