A few weeks after being thrown into Como Lake, quite a few things had happened.

Meanie had given birth to more fish and Carrot had grown a little bit more, beginning to look more like a tween instead of a kid. His voice was in the awkward times of squeaky voice cracking.

The lake filled up with more and more goldfish each day as new ones were being born and more were reproducing constantly.

The summer of 2014 shaped up to be a very sunny season, with low percentages of showers and some nice days even reached 32 degrees Celsius consecutively, breaking records in the small city.

Carrot had split up with his initial group of "friends" and was in pursuit for new companions. Apparently he was too orange for the other fishes' likings.

While all the other goldfish were all pale in colour, Carrot stood out with his bright orange skin that was growing brighter each day he grows. Other fish avoided him, thinking he was going to explode or make them bright orange if they went near him.

In other words, Carrot was incredibly lonely.

Carrot was swimming aimlessly through the waters under a dock. People above him had fishing rods attempting to catch bigger fish, like trout. Kids would reach over the dock and skim their hands through the murky lake water. Rays of sunlight were hitting the water and light was reflecting off of it, slightly blinding people. One idiot fell into the lake.

Specks of algae was scattered throughout the bottom for residents of the lake to consume. Carrot hadn't eaten for days. He had been so keen on making a new friend that he completely forgot to care for himself.

Carrot began to swim downward to have lunch and almost reached the algae, when a bigger goldfish swam out of nowhere and crashed into him, sending Carrot tumbling away. The giant goldfish swam after Carrot with unexplainable concern etched on his face.

Carrot landed at the bottom of the lake roughly and sharp rocks littered the ground where he was spread out on. A small amount of blood was trickling down Carrot's scales and staining the water with a scarlet red colour.

The fish that sent him spiralling away approached him in a panic. "Dude, you alright? I'm so sorry for crashing into you. I swear I didn't see you coming!" The fish apologized in a deep masculine tone.

The goldfish was less orange than Carrot but still a yellow orange colour. Small flecks of sparkly rainbow like colours were surrounding his body. The size of the fish was exceptionally bigger than Carrot. He was possibly an adult goldfish.

Carrot groaned in pain and tried to swim where the big fish was, but to no avail. Carrot checked himself for injuries before he tried to swim up again. He saw the blood running down his scales.

"No, I'm not okay! There's too much blood!"

There was really only a speck of blood, but Carrot was freaking out. Blood was Carrot's worst nightmare. He started swimming upwards in a panic to try and escape his own blood.

"I think I'm going to pass out!" Carrot spluttered.

"No! Don't pass out right now, man! It's only a little bit of blood!" The other fish pleaded.

"I'm just very finicky near blood, especially my-"

Carrot couldn't finish his sentence, as he stared at his own blood dripping into the water. The sight was incredibly sickening to him and he was beginning to be nauseous. His consciousness was starting to fade away, as more blood covered his field of view.

"Help," Carrot managed to choke out to the fish observing him a short distance away.

Darkness soon engulfed his vision and Carrot fainted.
