Chapter 14

🌸 14 🌸

The following week,  I went to the neighbouring state for one of my dad's conference.

The temperature was so hot that the sun would burn your skin if you're out for as long as five minutes. We decided to go out only when the sun sets.

There was nothing to do but a bit of touring. I had to apply 3layers of sunscreen before putting on long sleeves.

On the last day, when we got to the hotel, in the evening.  My mom and I were walking to our room when I noticed a certain guy staring and smiling creepily.

By his accent,  I could tell that he came with us. 

"You look like a foreigner.  I'll be sure to make you my baby momma. " I heard him say.

I just smiled at him as I thought that he wasn't talking to me.

But it did bother me. How could he say that to someone he doesn't even know.  Where are his manners.  Has he gone mad?

I walked past him,  tugging on the hem of my shirt.

I sighed in relief and got into the large Hall.

It wasn't exactly a hotel.  It was a large Hall next to the conference Hall. In the hall, desks were guarding and acting as a wall.  There were about 10 states and for each state,  we had to make and construct our own walls with the desks Speak of trust issues. 

After freshening up,  I laid in my bunk and was about to sleep when I heard the same voice again.

" which one is Mr Lee's daughter?  The one who wore glasses?  Is this her?  I need to get the spirits away from her"

And then shouts.

I took the pillow off my face,  my heart beat rose.  I quickly took the glasses from my left and put it on to see what was going on.

The girl next to me was startled and breathing heavily as the guy from earlier tried to pick her up and hold her when she was asleep.  The other women were shouting as they saw his actions.

"I know him.  I heard that he could see spirit.  And he said that he was performing an exorcism.  But what he did was wrong.  Anyway,  I know how to keep spirits away.  Just say what I'm saying and light a candle over there." The woman at the corner said as she brought a candle over to us.

"he said Mr Lee's daughter.  And also that she wore glasses.  But Mr Lee ''s daughter doesn't wear glasses.  The only one wearing glasses is Mr Jung' 's daughter.  So both of you come with me and pray. "

That's when I knew for sure that he was going to do that to me.  And as I didnt have my glasses and covered myself with the pillow,  he couldn't recognise.  I got disgusted and insecure. 

Slowly,  I loosened my hold on the bed sheet and look over at the girl to see if she was alright.  She was laughing nervously as she slowly get out of bed.

I followed them to do the ritual or whatever it was.  Spirits or not.  I just don't want weird creepy guy who's twice my age to come again at me like that.

The following night, I felt so insecure and needed to tell someone.  I needed someone to hear me out and I needed to know that they are there for me.

I texted taehyung and told him what had happened in details. 

Lucy : 'marry me..'

HIS reply was quick.

Kim tae : 'what...?'

Lucy : 'tell me you'll marry me and tell me that that guy won't bother me again.'

'tell me I won't be his baby momma and tell me you'll marry me please'

Tears stream down as I typed the words.  I wiped the tears off with the pillow and tried to calm down a little.

Kim tae : ' nono.  He can't do anything to you.  He can't just take you.'

'ofc ofc I'll marry you.'

I read the text again and again.  All my fears disappeared at that.  Then I remembered that he had a girlfriend. That's when I regretted my actions.

I bit my lips as I typed next text.

Lucy : 'I'm sorry.  I'm so sorry.  I forgot that you have a girlfriend now.  I'm so sorry.  I'm so stupid.'

'And I'm sorry for the rant.. '

I did all of that and nothing I do could erase it. 

Kim tae : ' i broke up with her.'
