Outside didn't seem to change at all except that everyone was now out and about. All blank faced and grayscale as if from a silent movie and like a silent movie they made no sound as if they were ghosts. When Embry got closer she saw that they were all copies of the same two people, as if they were copy and pasted over.
The younger ginger walked up to one of the many what looked like hundreds of people. “Hey, do you know what’s going on” Embry inquired as she stood in front of the seven foot tall man. He simply walked through her, as if she wasn't there.
At this point the girl got enraged that she couldn't speak to anyone, couldn't call for help. helped. ‘I need to get rid of this stupid key’!
She hastily ripped the key, now a dull red and threw it down a close-by sewer. When Embry looked back however, nothing changed.
A glow erupted from her shirt, Embry looked down and there it lied, the key.  soaking wet from the drain. ‘Well damn im not getting rid off this’ she thought as she made her way from the storm drain.
Embry made her way through the town, and like the man no one seemed to notice her at all.
This was until she walked into what looked to be a bar
The building had black glass like the others but most of the glass was broken from the inside. The glass shattered beneath her feet but the sound only beckoned her more.
Inside the building was peeling posters advertising drinks from a long forgotten age, dust littered the tables which have been knocked over, the wood from the broken pieces  of the table seemed to tell a story. One where the false fairytale ended with a sicking snap.
By the time Embry made her way to the counter. An adolescent sprang  up from behind the counter. “Well damn this isn't right” the kid said whilst looking at a bottle of whiskey. “ OI! you! do you know where I can get some of the good stuff?”? Embry shook her head confused. “ uhhhh sorry but i don't even know what you're looking for” Embry replied, holding a bottle of her own in an inquisitive nature.“. goddamnit, why can't anyone in this hell hole keep any good whiskey?”? Embry looked up when the black haired  stopped talking to himself, “isn't that bad for you?”?
‘Not for me!”!
“that doesn't make any sense.”.
“Nothing ever makes sense.“.
At this point embry gave up, there was no point in fighting him. “Ok i gotta go, see ya ,wouldn't to be ya!” and with this the boy snapped his fingers and disappeared into thin air. Only leaving a old green wine bottle that crashed to the ground, like a thousand tiny voices all crying out in anguish.  Embry silently left the room trying to avoid the broken sard less that she wanted another injury other than the one on her tarnished soul
‘It's about time I leave this place there is nothing here for me anyways, no answers, just more questions….’
As Embry left the bustling city, she wondered why she even went to that place. The lights that once held as a beacon of hope in a a world of chaos and fear, glimmered coldly now pushing outward rather than the welcoming warm glow it shined out, the ginger left, not bothering looking back...
