We saw him sitting in the middle of the floor, hugging himself with his wings. Alado's icy blue, pupil-less, blind eyes seemed to stare at me as he turned around. I could feel them piercing my soul like sharp blades.

Is he angry about something?

Did I enter thirty seconds late? He has a strong hatred for when I'm late.

Did I screw up some coordinates on a GPS?

I would ask him what or who is on his nerves, but he's not a talker, and would probably say something along the lines of "Get outta my sight!'' or something like that.

Ironically,he's blind. I think I've already said that. But I said it again.

Anyways, I had something to tell him, a message about my own findings. I lightly brushed Alado's shoulder with my hand, hoping that he wouldn't mistake me as an intruder.

"Elliot. Is that Elliot? It better be Elliot" I heard Alado buzz under his breath.

"Yes. Yes it's Elliot." I replied "With a report"

"Of course you do. Go on."

"The mob, they've occupied the land around us recently-"

Alado interrupted "I'm not surprised at all. Keep going."

I took a deep breath.

"Evacuation of the citizens will be dangerous, unless we can fend off the enemy. So we need to think up an escape plan if they push in farther."

"Good thinking..."

"Maybe we could... use your bunker as a hiding spot?"

He snapped. "NO. THIS IS MY HOME. I ALREADY HAVE TWO PEOPLE LIVING WITH ME, ALL UP IN MY BUSINESS. I DON'T NEED 997 MORE IN HERE"

I jumped back about two feet. Trinette knocked over a vase.

"Sheesh, okay, but it won't be the whole entire city, just a small amount-"

"I SAID NO ELLIOT" Alado yelled

"Fine, but can you keep Trinette at least?"

I could hear him hesitate to answer "...Yes"

Trinette wasn't pleased by his agreement to my statement. "Awwwww! But I wanna go with you! There's nothing to do here!"

"Trinette, just...stay here, you'll be safer with Alado than me."

" Why's that?"

I sighed. "It's dangerous out there, it's a war for crying out loud!"

She latched onto my leg. "Pleeeeeeassseeeeeee? Pretty Pretty Please?" she begged.

"Tilly, I said to stay here."

She shuttered. "But-"

"I'll make a deal." I told her, as she latched off of my leg. I got on my knees to meet her eyes. "Stay with Alado,I'll come back with something special."

She bounced up. "We've gotta deal!"

"Alright, alright." I softly giggled. "I'll be back in hopefully two to three hours."

I crawled out the exit, leaving Trinette behind.
