I felt bad for what I did the other day to Avis. I was greatful, but more so shocked. I didn't understand why she did that. Now I did, at least I thought I did. So I looked around the house for her. I found her reading a book, in her nightgown, about to go into her room, "wait, Avis!" I called before she could go in. She looked at me shocked, "Hugh?" I stood next to her. "What are you doing?" I looked her in the eyes, "I'm sorry for getting mad at you." She looked at me confused, then she remembered. She started laughing, "you searched for me all day to say your sorry?" I nodded she laughed again harder. She grabbed my arm and pulled me into her room closing the door behind her.
She sat on her bed, "so, your sorry huh?" I nodded, I honestly didn't know what to expect now. She thought for a long moment then stood and jumped over to me smerking, "I forgive you." I sighed "thank you." I said relieved "maybe." She added, her smirk getting bigger. "Huh?" I looked at her confused, "I don't forgive you." I was to confused to react, "maybe." I just stared at her without an expression. She laughed again and sat on the bed. "Give me some time to decide if I forgive you." I nodded and walked to the door, "well wait a second, Hugh." she jumped up grabbing my arm. I looked at her and she dropped my arm, "I'm hungry." She said looking at me. I opened the door for her and she walked through.
We had gone down stairs and I had made her some lemonade and some snacks from the tea she had earlyer. She was sitting at the table eating the snacks and drinking the lemonade, "you make some good lemonade Hugh." She said taking another sip. "Thank you Avis." I said standing next to her not knowing what to do, "Take a set." Avis said as if she read my mind. I opened my mouth to say something, closed it, then sat down, "so how has it been working in the house?" She asked looking more interested in the late night snack than the conversation, "fine. Just fine. Thank you, I never thanked you." I answered. She looked at me, "go get me some napkins." She said looking very serious. I looked at her confused then got up, "really?" I herd her say, I looked back at her. "Do you always do exactly as your told?" She had forgotten the snacks now. "Was I not suppose to do that?" He sighed standing up, "it's fine Hugh, just for get it." She walked out and I followed her, "I'm sorry." I said and she stopped, looking at me and smiling, "it's ok Hugh, just get some sleep and I'll see you in the morning." I nodded and she went into her room, " goodnight Hugh." She called from behind the door, "good night Avis." And so I left the house.
