Ship: Skub
POV: Sketch'sTonight is christmas eve, and I wanted to confess my love for Sub tomorrow on Christmas Day. I mean, we are really close friends, but I want to take it a step further. I may or may not ruin our friendship but it's worth a shot. And besides, It'll be like a christmas present...that he may or may not like.
"Elijah? Elijah?!," a familiar voice calls. I was still day dreaming about what I was going to do. "ELIJAH?!," the voice yells. I snap out of it and see Sub standing in front of me. "W-what?," I manage to spit out. "You're missing out on the snowball fight!", he says. "LOOK OUT," someone yells.
Sub ducks and a snowball hits me in the face. He starts lauging and points at me. "Ehehe, see, that's why you should be paying attention," he says, helping me up off the ground and wiping the snow off my face. I blush.
"You seem a little...on edge lately", Sub says. We start holding hands and walking down the sidewalk, which was layered with ice and snow. "Yeah, uhm...", I start," I just...I don't know... I'm just thinking about something for tomorrow" Sub smiles and blushes. "Is it something for me? Liike, a present", he teases. "Maybe, you'll have to wait and see", I say. He playfully shoves me. "You're lucky you're my...buddy?," he says, a little confused as to what he just said.
"Why'd you say 'buddy' like that?", I ask. "I don't know...", he says, blushing," Our relationship or friendship...or whatever you would call it, it's kinda like we're..dating?" I can see what he means. It seems like we're always flirting with each other.
"Uhm..yeah", I say. He shrugs. "Oh well! I'm glad that we can be like that without people thinking we're dating or something," he says, smiling sweetly. I blush a little. We make it back to Denis' house.
"Hey boys!," Corl says," I didn't expect for you guys to come back early" "Yeah, well, Elijah started spacing out a lot so we left", Sub says. "Not true...," I lie. "I believe it", Denis says, putting a snowflake on the tree. "Yeah, you've beeen thinking about something lately", Alex says. "If not something, then someone," Corl says, smirking. I roll my eyes. "You're being ridiculous", I say," I'm just...not feeling well okay?" "Riiight", they all say. I dismiss the conversation and ignore them.
I start to reach for a candy cane box on the table but Denis takes the box away. "Hey!", I say. "You can't eat these! They're for the tree", he says. "But everyone else has one!", I whine. "Yeah but, they actually helped with the tree", he says. "Whatever", I say, crossing my arms.
~3 hours later~
"WHO WANTS TO WATCH A MOVIE WITH ME?!", Corl yells. "Me!," Sub says. "Same!", Alex exclaims. "Sure, why not?", Denis says. "What about you, Elijah?", Corl asks. I shrug. "I guess so", I say. "Oo, let's move the table and we can all lay on the floor and watch it!," Sub says. "I'll go get some blankets", Denis says. "I'll make some hot chocolate!", Corl says, going into the kitchen.
Me, Sub, and Alex set up the movie, move the table, and move back the couches a little. Denis comes down with some blankets and Corl comes back with coffee mugs, and gives us each a mug. Mine had a pug on it.
We all lay down on the floor. "Okay, uhm, so...", Denis starts," One of us are going to have to share a blanket." "Sub and Elijah", Corl says, smirking. "It's fine!", Sub says," He can have the blanket." Denis hands me the blanket. "Are you sure?", I ask," I mean...we can share... . " I blush a little. "I- ", I wrap the blanket around him and me before he could say anything. He blushes a little.
I can hear Denis mutter 'Cuties'. He's lucky that he's not laying next to me. Corl hits play on the remote and the movie starts.
~1 hour later~
The movie still has a few minutes left. Everyone was asleep except me. I didn't realize until now that Sub was cuddled up next to me. I start blushing. I guess I should do the same as everyone else, sleep.
Tomorrow is a special day for me. I was incredibly nervous, but he could end up saying yes. It would be a 50/50 chance of ruining our friendship or going a step further. I guess we'll just have to see.
