Chapter 2

Back with Uminari

Nanoha finished making her best friends orders, carefully slicing them and placing them onto a plate each then putting them and the drinks onto a tray. Walking out of the kitchen to their table, "Here you go, i tried my hardest to make them, hopefully they're alright,"

"Thanks, Nanoha, you're the best!" Hayate gets up and hugs Nanoha before digging in, "Ittadakimasu~"

"Wait! Nanoha, did you say them?" Fate asks with wide eyes making Nanoha smile and Hayate teasingly grin,

"Yep! I thought that since I was making Hayate's, I'd try yours to...is that alright?" Nanoha looks at Fate with a sad look instantly making her seem like a puppy giving her puppy dog eyes unintentionally making her blush at the cuteness.

"Er, eh, umm, n-no, Nanoha, I'm r-really happy, t-thank you!" Fate stutters, resisting the urge to pat Nanoha's head and give her a huge hug whilst mentally killing herself for making Nanoha sad. Nanoha's frown then turned upside down, her hair popping up almost like dog ears.

"Really!? I put my heart and soul into them, so hopefully you'll enjoy them!" just before Fate could say anything,

"Awww! You're so adorable!" unfortunately for Fate, Hayate beat her to it and started stroking Nanoha's head to which Nanoha closed her eyes and enjoyed. Sensing Fate glaring at the back of her head, Hayate sweat drops and decides to sit down and enjoy her desert. She eats a mouthful and drops her spoon in shock, eyes wide

"T-this is..."

"This is..." Nanoha repeats nervously gulping

"This is...HEAVENLY!" Hayate's eyes turn to hearts and continues to devour her friends delicious homemade apple pie.

"Thank goodness, how's yours Fate-Chan?" nanoha turns to Fate to see her put a mouthful in, Fate had the same reaction as Hayate

"This is delicious, Nanoha, the best I ever had!" Fate said more calmly but with the same enthusiasm, she smiled sweetly at Nanoha before digging into the rest. Nanoha sat down with them and they started chatting away until their glasses and plates were empty,

"I'll go and tell mum that we're leaving!" Fate and Hayate nod as Nanoha runs of to see her mum, in a matter of seconds she returns to them with her apron off, "Let's go!"

With Dumbledore

Dumbledore pov

This is interesting, very interesting indeed! To think that Fawkes is in the muggle world not to mention Japan of all places too, now what could that phoenix be up to?

Good thing is that there have been no reports from the Japanese wizard community so no muggle has found out about him, I just can't come to any conclusion as to why he'd be here. Luckily for me, Fawkes and i are bonded together by our magic so sensing him isn't that difficult. I use an illusion spell so muggles see me as a normal old man as to not get exposed as a wizard or stand out in my robes.

While getting to Fawkes took a while I was able to fully enjoy myself and do a bit of sightseeing, Japan is a beautiful and fascinating country, the people are friendly and the food is quite exquisite. After getting off the muggle form of transport i believe is called a bus, I find myself in a small area called Uminari, I can sense Fawkes' magic nearby, he must be here.

I walk around, following his magic trail and then i see him with company, unexpected company...

Nanoha pov

"So where are we heading today?" i ask Fate-Chan and Hayate-Chan while we walk along the path next to the twinkling sapphire sea,

"Hmmm, I heard there's a new ice cream place we can go and check it out!" Hayate-Chan said excitedly, i was going to comment on how they had just eaten but decided against it because ice cream is delicious!
