Words couldn't express how happy I was. I couldn't believe that a dream I had since I was eleven years old came true! No matter how hard I tried, I could not stop smiling. I worked so hard to get that scholarship and a place in the theatre program. I was on my way.Tonight I decided to celebrate by watching one of my all-time favorite classic movies Singin' in the Rain! I had finished all my homework for the day, so watching that movie was a way to unwind. My phone began to ring in the middle of the film; I paused the movie and answered it. "Hello?" "Hey, Hannah. " Mike sounded glum. I could tell something was bothering him. "Hey, Mike, what's up?" "I have some bad news." his voice cracked like he was about to cry. "What's wrong? Who do I need to beat up?" I said humorously. He laughed weakly. "No one, but I didn't get my scholarship." My heart sank. "Oh Mike, I'm so sorry. Is there anything I can do to help?" I felt exceedingly terrible that my dream had come true and my best friend didn't. "I'm afraid there isn't. I guess it just wasn't meant to be." he sighed. "Don't talk like that. You're an amazing performer. You're so talented, and if they can't see it, then they don't know real talent." I meant every word I said. I knew he was smiling. "Thanks, Hannah. I know I can count on you." "I'm always here for you." I smiled. It was silent for a while. "Well, goodnight Han," Mike said sleepily. "Goodnight, Mike." we both hung up.
I fell asleep and opened my eyes to another surrounding. I was walking through a forest and headed into a beautiful meadow surrounded by a hazy light. The voice from my previous dream was calling to me. It was getting a little strange. "Hannah..." I reached the meadow, and Peter was waiting for me. He looked just as handsome. I smiled; I knew deep down that I was safe in this beautiful meadow. The soft music in the distance was playing, and it seemed to be growing stronger. Our hands touched, and time seemed to stop. "Stay with me forever," his whisper was haunting. "Don't ever go away," I whispered back. Our lips were about to meet, but the dream ended.
I woke up both mystified and weirded out. "Why does this keep happening?" I said to myself. I sat in my bed, baffled this recurring dream was still happening, but from what I've seen, it must mean something vital.
