Ash Tray

chapter 3 pt 1

                                                                  Chapter 3:

Once at matthew's i got her stuff unpacked in my room and set her down to rest.  Going out swiftly i stopped at the drug store and grabbed some hair dye and concealer. They'll find me if i don't change every so often.

Matthews point of view:

I had to go to work today. I'm not sure if it was the best decision. But i think its ok maybe it was good to give him some time to himself, i'm also pretty sure he needed to go to lily for some reason. But not just some reason sorry let me correct myself like the dude was missing for 5 years of course he would want to see his sister. 

Well I work as a office assistant to this big company i don't even know how i got this lucky and then on the weekend i work for this fast food place dacdonalds, it can be stressful and tiring sometime but i have to make a living and it's not too bad, and i'm not falling behind on payments while doing this.

I continue clicking away at the keys on my computer, until i felt a light tap at my shoulder.

" Mathew, you dont have to be here your times over go get some sleep" A rather tall concerned man said looking down at me i didn't recognize him at first and quickly realized it was my boss, i looked at the clock and it read 11:32pm. How did time move so fast i was here all day.

" oh ya sorry just lost track of time" i said quickly packing my bag.

"I know you care about this job and i'm your boss and all but i think you should take a break soon just for a couple days as your boss and your friend if you could count me as one i'm worried about you" he said crossing his arms and looking at my desk. I'm usually a organized person but the past month i got a little cluttered i still knew were everything was and my work isn't to affected, except maybe a late paper or to but my late nights make up for that. But i could see the issues i even had a burnout at work about 2 weeks ago, i was walking to the copier and had collapsed of course i couldn't remember the rest but when i woke up i was in the casual area on the couch being fanned by one of the interns who looked terrified. While my boss was on the phone with someone leaning over me. From the armrests of the couch.

" You collapsed mathew, i'm sentencing you to a week break, go relax don't focus on work we will cover you" he had said, and i listened i was told by the on staff nurse if it happened again it could really affect my health.

So after i was reminded of that terrible day i realized my boss mr. Oto, or just Carter he prefers more casual tones unless a important business topic, was helping me pack my bags. " oh sir you don't have to do that" i responded to his kind actions

" Well i am" he said packing things up.

" so mathew do you have anything going on, is your..search come up with anything" He asked. He was referring to james, he wasn't much different from the others not knowing who i'm talking about but he listened to what i said or knew about him, he seemed to care and even looked for a little bit. Or at least said he did and i trust him. But i'm not sure if i should say i found him. James seemed so scared to let anyone even know he was him. Or were he is so i held my tongue. Wasn't this bizness also one of james fathers so i always took it carter ws ethor just curious or just feeding information to james's dad. But like i said i trust him almost friend level. But i still said nothing.

" So i guess that silence is a no *sigh* i advise taking a break from looking i trust this james is real but wouldn't Mr. Wilson his father be looking for him its not common for someone to just be erased". He said as i packed up the remainder of my stuff.

" He is real and i know something's off like you said no one just can't be erased" I say putting on my coat.

" Ok well good luck and i expect to not see you monday relax and have a good break" Carter siad walking off.

" bye"i said probably too far from him to hear. 

Note: i didn't realize but that time shift was probably awkward after james got lily it was probably afternoonish and we haven't gotten back to him yet . But all that stuff with matthew like it read in a later time around 11:30ish so sorry if that was confusing. Also is this story going well in your opinion and have any tips or suggestions?
