Chapter 2 |♡| He could be an axe murderer |♡|

The next day (Taylor's POV)

"Then you come around and say baby, I miss you and I swear I'm gonna change. Trust me. Remember how that lasted for a day, I say I hate you, we break, up you call me, I love you." I started singing and dancing to Taylor Swift while trying to get my hair into a tight ponytail. . Suddenly my music stops.

"HEY!" I turn around and see my mom standing in the doorway, laughing her head off. "You weren't supposed to see, or hear that" I huffed.

"Obviously. But honestly sweetie, I think the neighbors can hear you. I just wanted to know if you wanted to go into town with me." Mom asked me after catching her breath. I was about to decline when I saw the look on her face. It was that i don't want to make you feel like you have to but you do kind of look. I knew it well. So I just nodded my head and turned around.

After putting on some purple leggings, a black tank, and a cropped jean jacket I headed out to the car. I slid into the passenger side of the car as she sped off back onto the highway.

About 10 minutes later we arrived at a boardwalk/mall type things with a whole bunch of little shops and restaurants. It was like a mini Myrtle Beach just bit as busy. I smelt something frying off in the distance as stomach grumbled. I realized I didn't eat lunch. Or breakfast. I turned to face my mom "Hey mom can I-" she gave me $15 "thanks"

"Taylor!" I turned around to see Jason running up to my mom and I. My mom looked at me quizzically.

Oops.

May have forgotten to mention meeting him and Alex yesterday, again may I remind you I'm not exactly the sociable type. But if I told her. She would've totally overreacted, insisting she met them. Therefore completely embarrassing me. And on my first day at this place? Yea not happening.

"Hey Jason what's up?" I smiled at him ignoring the subtle curious glances mom was sending me.

"I was just about to meet The rest of the guys over at The Best Place." He answered

"The Best Place?" I looked at him arching my eyebrow as my mom mouthed "there's more?".

"Yeah, they make like the best food ever. Wanna join?" He asked. I perked up at the mention of food. I turned towards my mom who was smiling so much I thought her face would fall off.

"I don't know, mom would you mind" I asked. She just shook her head and gave me a look that said I was in for quite the interrogation. I'm pretty sure he could've been an axe murderer and she wouldn't mind by the way she kept looking at him, then me, then back over to him. I don't know which was freakier that she was being so trusting. Or that I'm okay with it. Jason started walking and gestured for me to follow him. So I did.

"You come here often?" I asked trying to start a conversation. Then mentally slapped myself. That is on the top of the list for the top 10 lamest conversation starters in history, right there under 'wonderful weather we're having'. He didn't seem to notice though and answered me. Apparently he lives a good 45 minutes away, in a small town named Rochester but his family - his parents and his two little twin sisters- come to the heart of Myrtle Beach for the summer every year.

Over the next few minutes I learned three interesting things abiut Jason:

1: He's a Junior (like me)

2: He plays 6 different instruments.

3: He's definitely not an axe murderer.

Talking to him was so easy. He was funny, charismatic, and completely open, so far he's been really fun to hang out with. He pointed out little landmarks as we made our way towards the best place making me laugh every time he used an idiotic tour guide voice.
