we had been sitting at the lunch room tables as she had suddenly brought up this. all of her words felt like stabs through my skin.

and she got up to move to a different table.

"hey! where's your friend?" i heard someone's voice calling me.

i looked to my left where i see a girl, who i recognized was part of the drama club and in the play.

"well uh, she got picked up early" i had lied.

"do you wanna sit with us?" she asked.

and with my perspective on it, it was a perfect opportunity to talk and hang out with them more.

this was one of my biggest regrets.
