"1665... caused immense, fear.. Across the British as a unforgettable ... increase, of diseases had begun
Spreading towards England" Maya drifted in and out of sleep while Mr Grayling sustained his dreary voice for the next half hour.
Drops of rain scattered across the windows of the patio like splats of paint, drooling over the edge of the glass doors. Similar to the pattern of the weather, Maya felt as if she should have been the one splattered across the classroom's moldy windows.
History lessons were always dull anyway. As usual her teacher would recite every aspect of medieval Europe, in the most unenthusiastic manner, while the majority of the class became browned off to the T.
The main concern for Donna, Maya's little sister was figuring the fastest way home. No Parties this week mean't extra sleep for the two. It was hard having a second life as a Dj and a musician. Despite the fog, she still caught a glimpse of some seniors in the play area waiting like Hyenas for their prey to step outside. Luckily History class gave her time to contrive a quicker route. And Maya was a wiz at geography. Perhaps if she'd acted sooner on this plan she wouldn't have end up between a cigarette and a drunk on the M1 bus last week.
Donna's eye's began to droop, her entire body leaning into her wooden chair. Afew of the children begin to watch as Donna's body slowly tilted over before falling from her desk. uh oh.
Maya acted like lightning as she pulls her sister back upwards into the chair. Creak!
Mr Grayling spins around.
Strange. Nothing happened.
As he turns round to continue writing on the board Maya turns to her now fully awake sister.
" Donna" she Grunts. "You've endured this class before and you can do it again"
As the bell began ringing a sudden feeling of relief swept over everyone's heads. "Now don't forget to revise page 11 on the Black death" Beckoned Mr. Grayling's voice
Like a transverse wave the children's groans echoed through the main hallway and out the door of the academy
Except for the two girls
Everyone glanced around the classroom but they were already gone.
On the M1 bus.
