Ramford was a nice and happy town located in the deep South. At least that's what it would say on the brochures. And for the most part, that was true. Besides the local packaging factory being caught on fire, the riots through the streets after a bad football game, and a shady daycare center that had connections to the mafia, it was overall a nice and happy town located in the south.

One of the local Ramford residents, Douglas Denver (no relation to singer-songwriter, John Denver) sat inside his favorite bookstore. But he doesn't go to the bookstore to read. Douglas doesn't even know how to read. It was for the weekly get together with his four good old pals. Minus one at the moment. His eyes were gazed down at his phone; his thumbs were twiddling away. His head slumped on top of his recently washed plaid t-shirt that made him look like he had a double chin.

"Dougie", inserted a voice from a close distance. Doug did not respond. His focus was on the little game. The voice cries out once again. "DOUGIE!"

A ball of paper comes flying straight at Douglas then bounces off his ginormous forehead. His eyes drift away the phone and aimed right at the young blonde sitting opposite of him. The young blonde was one of Doug's close pals, Ms. Alexis Edmond. The head of the yearbook club and prom committee.

Doug drops his phone, "What do you want?"

"Maroon or Blue?" Alexis held up two pieces of cloth. It was her assignment for the big dance that was nearly forty days away.

Doug shrugged his shoulders, "Blue I guess. I don't know. Why are you even asking me?"

"Because you're the only person at the table besides me!"

"What are you talking about? Richard is literally sitting right beside you".

Alexis pans her head to the right. She now realizing Richard hiding behind that dinosaur of a laptop.

"Hi!" Richard said in his soft voice

"Very sorry Richard" Alexis replied with regret. "Forgot you were there for a second".

"It's-it's o...okay," Richard stuttered and continued to do who knows what on his computer.

Alexis looked back at Doug. "Richard is pretty busy at the moment. And what are you doing? Nothing. So I need your help".

Doug just scoffed and leaned back inside his chair.

"Get them while it's hot", in came a young asian girl walking up to the table, holding four hot cups of coffee for dear life. All four cups scribbled with her name on it... Ivy. Last name: Montapare.

"Thanks a bunch, hun", Alexis snatches her drink and slurps it down.

"No problem", Ivy replied as she gently puts down the remaining three beverages. She hands one down to Doug then the next to Richard. Doug looked confused.

"Umm... I don't drink coffee", he stated. Ivy just look at him with nothing to say.

Alexis gives a good kick to Doug's shin.

Doug scrunched his face with much pain down his leg. I'll have it anyways. Thank you."

Doug grabbed his drink and took one tiny sip. The expression on his face showed that he was not quite pleased. He quickly slid it away from his range.

"How does it taste?" Alexis asked.

"Like a Buffalo's taint", he stated.

Alexis looked confused, "How do you know what a Buffalo's tai-"

"Did I miss anything?" A familiar voice cried out. Alexis spun around. Hell, they all spun around. It was like listening to an angel. And that angel's name was Yancy North a.k.a the most down-to-earth guy according to the High School's yearbook.
